As the season got back into the swing of things this week, I was able to take in a handful of games. There was plenty of outstanding play from several players I watched.

Carranza showed exactly what you want from a senior floor leader. Against Sunrise Mountain, she ran the show with efficiency and composure. She shared the ball, kept everyone organized, and stepped up as a scorer when the moment called for it. Knocked down shots in rhythm and never forced the action. She is a high-IQ guard who understands how to manage a game.

A steady floor general describes Izzy's play in Hamilton's win over Liberty. Anderson controlled the tempo and dictated the pace. She got the ball to the right players in the right spots. Her decision-making and composure stood out, especially in pressure moments.

Borallo is an athletic floor general who shined in Yuma Catholic's win over Odyssey. She showed great burst in the open court and consistently put pressure on the defense. Her speed and ability to attack off the dribble make her a problem in transition and in half-court sets.

Murray continues to separate herself as one of the premier guards in the 2027 class. In her game against O'Connor, she showed a complete scoring package. She knocked down threes, was comfortable pulling up from the mid-range, and consistently got downhill to finish at the rim. While she had to be in a more scoring mode, she also threw some beautiful passes.
