The CCA Clippers have put together a memorable season up to this point as they still sit without a loss as we move in the start of February. This season has been memorable because everyone is pitching in and their stars are handling businesses. One of those stars being Senior SG/CG - [player_tooltip player_id='782232' first='Lena' last='Evans']. Evans has shown up on both sides of the ball every game this Winter. Sometimes she shows out and leads them in scoring but she is mainly the type of player that can do anything for you on the offensive end from the guard position. She is extremely athletic for her size and weight, making her tough to keep off the boards and out of the steals column in general while being someone who can score it at a thorough rate as well offensively. The Clippers will have a shot to make a run during these next few weeks as we walk into the Playoffs. If Evans and [player_tooltip player_id='509225' first='Averie' last='Lower'] can lead the way, this group should continue to succeed as we march on.

One of the best parts about Breah Lowry's play-style is that she is very efficient as a scorer (48.5%) and she also leads her team in APG, demonstrating that when the passing lanes become open - she is willing to give it to those around her. Lowry also shows up defensively. She is a top leader throughout the state in total steals at this point in the Winter, which has helped her Hawks team win all of their battles this season (19-0). This is one of those guards who competes with full effort and determination when steps on the hardwood. She leads by example and that's what you love to see out of someone who is willing to leave it all out on the floor in general. Now we just have to see how far she can lead this Hawks' team.

CR - Prairie has had their up's and down's this season but they have stood resilient as we have been moving towards the end of their regular season recently. One of the, "glue prospects", helping lead this rush is UNI commit, PG - [player_tooltip player_id='502096' first='KeaOnna' last='Worley']. Worley has stepped her game up big time over the past month or so on and off of the ball. She has been hitting more jumpers from deep, opening up the offensive side of the game for her a little bit more and she has been still holding serve when it comes to controlling pace of play or the tempo of the game in general. Defensively, she is getting her hands on the basketball in the forms of tips/deflection on a consistent basis and that's leading to turnovers or bad possesses for the opponent. This is one of those groups I wouldn't want to see during the Playoff's on the road. They do some tricky stuff defensively and they have a handful of college level commits, who might just ruin your day if you aren't careful.

[player_tooltip player_id='988402' first='Mylee' last='Thurm'] holds it down for Denver High school as producer on both sides of the ball. Thurm is averaging 14+ PPG and 10+ RPG, dominating the middle of the lane for the Cyclones. If you look at this team's stat's as a group this Winter, they are doing fairly well from 2 point land and decent from 3. They really make their money next to the hoop offensively and Thurm directly has a hand in that. She is shooting 57% from the floor herself and that helps keep up their overall conversion rate. The best part? Thurm hasn't taken a three pointer all season long. She stays in her role navigating the traffic in between the blocks, which is noteworthy. Denver has only lost 1 game this Winter. Hopefully they can ride that momentum into the Playoff's in a couple of weeks.

If you are looking for a hooper that is leading her team in almost every positive statistical category from the guard position then look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='923942' first='Riley' last='Johnson'] of Roland Story. Johnson isn't just leading her team in all of those categories, she is dominating these categories in reality. She is in front by a good margin in each and that speaks to what she can bring to the table when she is playing with confidence. Johnson ties everything together and that's what has kept this group so tight up until this point. She is consistently putting up impactful numbers as she tries to tie together an impressive Junior year. If she stays on this track, she will finish off things with one of the more complete year's throughout the state as an individual as she helps her team continue to win as they currently sit at 15-3.
