We saw Boens go to work this Winter with her DCG squad and she played some respectable ball overall as the year went on. Boens is a 6'1 CG/SF, that primarily plays between the 3 and 4 spot, depending on who else is placed around her. With her natural height and physical edge, she loves to work through contact near the bucket. She is a steady rebounder on both ends, she defends her position well, and because of her size and guard-like skill set she can switch onto whichever position necessary on that side of the floor. This Spring Boens will compete with [program_tooltip program_id='712617' first='Lady' last='Pure Prep']'s 17U team. That roster should have a few top notch producers on it so it'll be fun to see how they stack up on the road this Spring.

[program_tooltip program_id='866654' first='Iowa' last='United'] GBB out of Forest City is always a fun group to watch. They play the game of Basketball the correct way while trying to develop their prospects as much as possible individually. Someone from this group to look out of this Spring is [player_tooltip player_id='1223433' first='Ashlen' last='Kingland']. Kingland is a PG/SG with a natural instincts to her game. She moves well with and without the ball in her possession but she really thrives when she can bring the ball down the court as full speed. She has an act for getting things to happen in real time. If a play breaks down or they have a bad possession, she understands what she has to do to get everyone right. I know this group will have some other talented guards to pair along with Kingland so we will have a chance to see how versatile each individual can really be. If they play fast but in-control and off of each other's best ability, they should win a lot of games.

Some might not know about [player_tooltip player_id='764171' first='Madyson' last='Prevail'] but she is a competitor that receives a lot of respect within her game. She is the type that isn't going blow by you with superior athletic ability, she isn't going to cross you over and make you fall down, but she will use her body angles to get an edge while attacking you weak side and she will finish at the hoop once she gets that physical edge on you. If the defense is going to sag off of her, she can make shots. She lets the opponent decide what she is going to do and from there, she goes to work, usually with ample success. Prevail will lace up with Sanford Sport Academy out of SD. A well known program that is sure to get her seen on the road over the next few months.

We had a chance to scout K.A-M. this Winter season and she showed out every time we were in the building with some promising action. She made basic and simple reads for buckets in the paint, she pulled it out and hit some shots from deep off the catch, and she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty by diving for loose balls when those situations presented themselves. Last year she was a solid prospects on the road against some tough competition across the Midwest. This season she is going to need to pick up right where she left off. She is going to have to play dominant basketball but still intelligent basketball. If she can control that mix within her own ability, she is going to shine as someone to know out of Iowa moving into next season for her Senior campaign.

We are just scratching the surface with [player_tooltip player_id='1261840' first='Maybes' last='Miller'] of Iowa City - City High and [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] AAU. Miller played a solid role this Winter for the Little Hawks. She worked most of her offensive action from the outside, being one of her team's deep threats off the catch. Most of her attempts came from distance but not all. There were times where she put it on the floor and got to the rack or she got to the middle of the lane for a floater over defender. As the Winter went on Miller seemed to become more comfortable with the more experience she gained which is perfect moving right into AAU season this Month.
