To be a, “Stock-Riser”, means a few things depending on how you look at it but the most important factor in my opinion is that the prospect is continuously putting in meaningful work in their off-time and that work is translating to the floor in real game-time. In this piece, we cover five individuals out of this 2027 Class in Iowa, that have embodied what it means to be a Stock-Riser these past few months.

We had a chance to see [player_tooltip player_id='834562' first='Logan' last='Vogt'] up close at the State Tournament to end the season and she was looking like a veteran out there on the hardwood. To my understanding this is a future D1 Volleyball player but her athletic ability combined with her height make her a threat while competing in any sport in reality. Vogt was an avid playmaker this Winter for her Junior season. She made big plays defensively each game with her ability to defend multiple positions and she always usually had a hand on getting others open on the offensive end as well. She might not be the most skilled but she is very coordinated and intelligent when it comes to in-game strategy. In this Update Vogt moves into the Top 10 once again. She might not be playing basketball at the next level in the near future but that doesn't mean she couldn't if she wanted too.

Hales is a prospect that has grown on us over the years because of her steady improvement. She has always been equipped with impressive hand-eye coordination and a calculated demeanor but now she is really coming into her own as someone who can control the outcome of a contest when the rock is in her possession. Right now Gilbert High School asked a lot out of Hales as a top notch scorer, passer, defender, rebounder, and teammate. At the next level it'll become a lot more simple when her main duties will be to control the game's tempo and make everyone else around her better as a distributor. This is a big AAU season ahead for everyone in this Class. If prospects like Hales can do well on the road while leading their pack, who knows what interest might come in before the Summer starts.

[player_tooltip player_id='923916' first='Lizzie' last='Beam'] attended our PGH Showcase this past Fall prior to her season and she stood out there as one of the top players in the building because of her mixture of size and skill so it's nice to see that she followed that up with a great high school season with Ankeny Centennial as one of their unquestionable leaders. Beam demonstrated that she can handle the ball under pressure, she can hit shots offensively off the catch and at the bucket off the bounce, that she can rebound against bigger matchups, and that she understands what the goal is of her team on each possession coming down the floor. I'm not entirely sure where she has interest from yet but this is someone that is definitely going to thrive at the next level if they can find the correct fit.

We saw major steps the past 4 months out of 6'3 Center - [player_tooltip player_id='1143194' first='Sira' last='Doumbia'] of CR Washington. Doumbia is still very raw in the skills side of things but her size and understanding of the game helps her produce at a solid rate against most others. When you have this type of size and strength, any team is going to have to throw 2-3 players at you to get stops on defense as long as your team gets you in the proper positions within the offense. We saw that all Winter long. It was taking teams double and triple teams to stop Doumbia once she caught so as long as she can build on that dominance and keep up with her conditioning, she is going to be just fine. In this Update she takes over the #1 pure Center position within this 2027 Class moving into AAU season.

We are going to see what [player_tooltip player_id='1230963' first='Kate' last='Knoll'] can do this AAU season on the road with her Air Minnesota program. Knoll is a known SG. She has good coordination with her footwork and her release is quicker than most. Knoll is coming off of a rememberable high school campaign and she is ready to show everyone watching what she can really do over the next few months all across the Country. We saw several glimpses the past few months of her ability to take over in certain moments, on and off of the ball, so I can't wait to see how she builds on top of that.
