Braun leaves everything on the floor every time she plays. The Buffalo guard brings a relentless motor and aggressive defensive mindset that makes her a disruptive presence. Offensively she moves really well without the basketball, cutting hard to the basket and creating scoring opportunities. Braun is also a capable ball handler who attacks the rim and can step out to knock down perimeter shots. Her mechanics are solid and the release is quick. A highly-invested competitor who clearly cares deeply about the outcome, Braun finished third on the team in scoring (7.1 points per game) and second in assists.

Romsdahl is a versatile 5'9 guard from St. James whose steady improvement continues to stand out. She first caught our attention last summer at the Mill City Classic where she averaged double figures, and her well-rounded game then carried over into the high school season. Romsdahl plays with energy and instincts, moving well with the ability to get downhill and finish. Her high-arcing jumper and quick release make her a consistent perimeter threat. We watched her live in St. James and loved her potential. She plays with pace and makes smart reads. A quality defender with strong basketball IQ, Laila contributes across the board.

Wright earned a starting point guard role while bringing stability to the Panthers' backcourt. With the type of year than can earn you some post-season accolades, Anne averaged 7.6 points per game and led the team in assists (2.6 per game) while also piling up 59 steals. Wright is a crafty playmaker who shoots the three well and attacks the rim effectively when opportunities appear. Defensively she is a pesky on-ball presence with excellent anticipation and a willingness to take charges. A vocal leader with strong instincts, Wright brings maturity, composure and steady energy to the gym.

Peters produced one of the more complete stat lines we've seen this season. She finished second on the team in scoring at 10.6 points per game and rebounding at 6 per contest while leading Richfield in assists, steals and blocked shots. Peters' length and activity level make her disruptive defensively, picking off passes and protecting the rim from the guard spot. She brings constant energy, crashing the glass and fighting for rebounds in key moments. Offensively she has a smooth shooting motion with range beyond the arc and scores plenty of second-chance baskets with strong positioning. Lots of upside here!

Makepeace has learned how to overcome her lack of size with exceptional skill and creativity. The shifty combo guard surpassed 1,000 career points this winter while averaging more than 26 per game, topping the 20-point mark 16 times, with four games north of 30. Veda is an elite shooter with NBA-level range and a polished offensive skill set. She creates space with a tight handle, quick first step and change-of-pace dribble. Her signature floater and ability to finish in traffic make her dangerous inside, as well. Few guards combine shooting ability, feel and confidence the way Makepeace does.

Staples-Fairbanks has long been a talented player with a ton of potential, but when she adopts an aggressive mindset her impact rises dramatically. A varsity regular since 7th grade, the Cass Lake-Bena guard showed us this winter what she can be in a standout performance we watched live – a 24-point outburst at Visitation. Rayahna comes from a strong basketball family at Leech Lake and possesses excellent ball-handling ability. What stood out most was her relentlessness – constantly chasing loose balls and refusing to give up on plays. If that attacking mentality continues, Staples-Fairbanks has the tools to get to the next level.

Meyer has developed into a physical and skilled 5'10 forward who consistently finds her way around the basket. She plays bigger than her size thanks to excellent footwork and positioning on the block. Claire can read rebounds well and finishes effectively with either hand, often powering through contact. Her understanding of post play is good, and she shows the confidence to battle inside when the game gets physical. Claire also has a quick first step to attack defenders, particularly from the left side, and she displays solid court vision as a passer who makes smart decisions.

Danks brings size, energy and a relentless attitude to the floor. At 5'10 she has the length to impact the game on both ends, running the floor well and attacking the glass with determination. Defensively she thrives on hustle plays, diving for loose balls and battling for steals and rebounds. Offensively she continues to expand her game, driving with more confidence and making good decisions with the basketball. Danks is known for her positive attitude and work ethic. We love it when a player can smile in the heat of battle like Josie can. Her commitment to continuous improvement makes her an exciting long-term prospect.

Finley is a patient, methodical guard who plays the game at her own pace. She rarely gets rattled and consistently makes smart decisions with the basketball. While she has averaged around 5 points per game, Finley has begun to show flashes of a more assertive offensive approach. She is quick, athletic and mobile, using those tools to become a disruptive defender who works hard on every possession. Finley still has room to grow offensively, but the foundation is there to get to college ball at some level.

Preston has been a staple in the Z-M lineup since 8th grade and continues to grow as a floor leader. The point guard distributes the ball with purpose, communicates constantly and sets the tone defensively by pressuring the ball and guarding multiple positions. Preston contributes across the board, averaging 10 points per game, a significant jump from last season. She has nice length, runs the floor well and consistently gets to the basket to finish. With smooth shooting mechanics and confident playmaking ability, Adi continues to develop into a complete backcourt leader.
