Best 3-Point Shoters From Class of 3A State Tournament

Her best shooting performance was in the semifinals against the eventual state champions, Dyersburg High School. Stinnett went 4-7 from distance in the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stinnett has a real chance to become one of the best shooters in the state over her next three years of high school basketball. She can make shots off the dribble and also off the catch. The bulk of these made happened in the first round, where Wheeler made five 3-pointers. She went 5-11 from distance in the matchup against Liberty Creek High School.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wheeler's shooting mechanics were some of the best at the state tournament. Her shot is repeatable, helping her to have games like the one she had against Liberty Creek. Wheeler is also a solid wing defender, and as she continues to move forward in her high school career, she will only improve. In the two games she played, she had a total of 29 points, which included four made threes. She especially stood out in Alcoa's opening round game against Tullahoma High School. She had three makes from distance and a game-high 20 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carroll, as a senior at the state tournament, was also notably calm at the big stage. They lost in the first round against Cocke County. In their exit, though, senior guard Emerson Fitzwelson played well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fitzwilson had two makes from three, going 2-3, and had a total of 12 points. During the regular season, she was continually effective from three. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She also showed her versatility as a defender at the tournament, logging two blocks.
