Winfield emerged as one of the top perimeter threats in Class 3, earning Region 3A Player of the Year honors while consistently leading Hopewell in scoring throughout the postseason. A confident and prepared shooter, she excels at spotting up from deep, particularly in the corners, where her footwork and quick release allow her to capitalize on catch-and-shoot opportunities. Her off-ball movement standout, as she does a great job relocating, reading the defense, and finding open space for kick-out threes. Winfield's ability to stretch the floor and produce in key moments makes her one of the more reliable guards in Class 3.     Diamond's all-around impact was evident throughout Skyline's run, even in moments where her scoring efficiency dipped. A high-level athlete, she consistently created offense when Skyline needed it most, showing the ability to generate her own shot and knock down perimeter looks, including key back-to-back threes in the state final. She thrives in transition, using her speed and instincts to turn defensive plays into scoring opportunities, while also making plays as a passer in half-court sets. Defensively, her activity stands out, as she disrupts passing lanes and rebounds at a high level for her position. Diamond's versatility and ability to affect the game across multiple categories make her one of the most impactful two-way players in Class 3.     Taylor established herself as one of the top shooters in Class, earning both Region 3C Player of the Year and Valley District Player of the Year honors. She is highly effective as a catch-and-shoot threat, consistently showing great preparation, footwork, and readiness to fire as soon as the ball touches her hands. Her ability to move to the ball, get into triple threat, and quickly elevate into her shot makes her difficult to contest on the perimeter. She also brings strong awareness beyond scoring, communicating well and transitioning quickly on defense after offensive possessions. Taylor's discipline, fundamentals, and consistency from deep make her a reliable and impactful perimeter presence.     Parker's consistency and toughness have been the foundation of her impact all season, earning First Team All-Region and First Team All-District honors. A proven scorer, she reached the 1,000-career-point milestone, highlighting both her production and longevity at a high level. She brings a physical, composed presence on the floor, embracing key moments and contributing in ways that go beyond the stat sheet. Her leadership stands out, as she sets the tone with her effort and approach every game. Parker's play and ability to produce make her a reliable and respected presence for Lake Taylor.     Jones has been a dominant interior presence throughout her career, earning First Team All-Region and First Team All-District honors while serving as the anchor for James Monroe. A four-year Varsity player, she consistently controls the paint with her rebounding, rim protection, and physical presence on both ends of the floor. Her ability to impact the game defensively stands out, as she alters shots, blocks attempts, and limits second-chance opportunities for opponents. Offensively, she is efficient inside and creates extra possessions with her work on the glass, highlighted by a 27-point, 17-rebound, 10-steal triple-double performance. Jones' toughness, consistency, and command of the paint make one of the most impactful post players in Class 3.     Schmitz made her mark as a high-impact two-way guard surpassing 1,000 career points while adding over 400 rebounds and 250+ assists and steals during career. She is at her best defensively, where her anticipation and instincts allow her to disrupt passing lanes and create transition opportunities. Her defense consistently translates to offense, as she turns steals into fast break points, finishing confidently through pressure. Schmitz plays with strong awareness, reading defenders in the open floor and maintaining control to convert at the rim. Her all-around production, defensive presence, and ability to generate offense make her a key contributor and a proven playmaker heading into her next chapter at Washington and Lee.     Macauley established herself as one of the top perimeter scorers in Class 3, earning First Team All-Region and First Team All-District honors surpassing 1,000 career points during the season. A high-level shooter, she excels at moving without the ball, consistently finding space and curling into open areas, especially at the top of the key for quick-release threes. Her ability to get her shot off before defenders can contest makes her a constant scoring threat from anywhere along the perimeter. She also shows the ability to create off the dribble, adding another layer to her offensive game. Beyond scoring, Macauley contributes as a facilitator, communicating well and helping organize her team's offense, making her a well-rounded and reliable presence on the floor.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Second Team</h2>    Graves stands out as a disruptive defensive guard whose anticipation and instincts consistently create opportunities in transition. She reads passing lanes well and reacts quickly, jumping out for steals and immediately turning defense into offense. With strong hands and quick reactions, she is effective at taking the ball directly from ball handlers and pushing the pace the other way. In the open floor, her speed allows her to finish fast break opportunities, even when facing pressure from trailing defenders. Graves' ability to generate turnovers and convert them into points makes her a high-impact player on both ends.     Robinson leaves behind one of the most decorated and productive careers in VHSL history, finishing with 2,682 points and ranking fourth all-time in VHSL girls basketball while becoming the all-time leading scorer in the Battlefield District. A Virginia State University signee and District Player of the Year, she has consistently demonstrated high-level scoring ability and shot creation throughout her career. Offensively, she is a dynamic guard who can handle the ball, create space off the dribble, and knock down shots from deep, including step-back threes and contested looks. She uses screens effectively and mixes in moves like her spin to create separation and scoring opportunities. Robinson's combination of production, skill, and confidence as a scorer make her one of the most accomplished and complete offensive players in Class 3.     Lieu was a standout performer for Meridian this season, establishing herself as one of the top guards in Northern Virginia. A dynamic scorer, she consistently produced at a high level, averaging just under 20 points per game while drawing heavy defensive attention. In a tough loss to Skyline in the Region 3B semifinals, she still showed her ability to create and score against pressure. Her ability to relocate, get her shot off quickly, and knock down perimeter shots makes her difficult to contain. In addition to her scoring, she handles the ball well and creates opportunities for teammates, making her a well-rounded and impactful backcourt presence.     Vanryck-Degroot provides Skyline with a strong interior presence, anchoring the paint with her physicality and consistent rebounding production. She does an excellent job establishing position early, sealing defenders, and creating high-percentage scoring opportunities around the rim. Her impact on the offensive glass stands out, as she consistently generates second-chance points and extends possessions. Beyond scoring, her ability to control the boards on both ends helps dictate tempo and gives Skyline a reliable inside presence. Vanryck-Degroot's toughness and efficiency in the paint make her a key piece of Skyline's success and one of the more productive post players in Class 3.     Rivard put together one of the most efficient and productive seasons in Class 3, earning District Player of the Year and First Team All-Region honors while leading Liberty Christian to a 23-2 record. A four-year starter with over 1,400 career points, she combines high-level scoring with efficiency, shooting 57.7% from the field and 44.9% from three. Rivard is a confident perimeter shooter who consistently finds space, gets into triple threat, and knocks down shots both off the catch and off the dribble. She runs the floor well in transition, creating scoring opportunities by getting ahead of the defense and pulling up when needed. Her consistency, shot-making ability, and overall efficiency make her one of the most reliable scorers in Class 3.     Hoover was a consistent and versatile presence for Lord Botetourt, earning First Team All-Region and First Team All-District honors while leading her team in scoring and finishing in double figures every game. A long and athletic forward, she thrives attacking downhill, using her handle to split defenders and finish effectively with both hands. She can create her own shot from the perimeter, whether driving to the rim or creating space for a pull-up or three. Her ability to read the defense stands out, as she consistently finds gaps and makes the right scoring decision. Hoover's activity on the glass and defensive end, combined with her multi-level scoring ability, make her one of the more complete and impactful players in Class 3.     Chewning brings a strong defensive presence with her length and athleticism, earning First Team All-Region honors as a young and impactful player. She consistently uses her size well, keeping her arms active to contest shots, disrupt passing lanes, and create turnovers. Her defensive instincts stand out, as she anticipates plays, jumps passing lanes, and turns steals into transition opportunities where she can handle the ball coast-to-coast. Offensively, she shows the ability to step out and knock down perimeter shots, particularly from the top of the key with confidence. Chewning's ability to translate defense into offense, combined with her versatility and upside, makes her a promising and impactful player in Class 3.     Baker serves as the floor general for Abingdon, bringing experience, leadership, and production as a four-year starter and 1,000-point scorer. She is a strong facilitator who consistently finds open teammates, highlighted by her ability to deliver accurate passes in both half-court and transition settings. Her court vision stands out, as she reads the defense well and creates opportunities for others while maintaining control of the offense. In addition to her playmaking, she can score when needed, knocking down perimeter shots and using her handle and footwork to finish at the rim.
