Division II-AA Semifinal Recap

At F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, TN, played host to some dynamic ball players yesterday. In the Division II-AA final four semis, some talented teams went head to head against each other. Bringing a balanced attack into the fold, each team that squared off against one another with an opportunity to advance. As teams went back-and-forth early on, the shots  that started falling late in the game, allowed the winners to advance.    Here is a recap of the scores of the games from the division two AA round.   Lipscomb Academy 44   Hutchison- 28   CPA 54   Knox Webb- 59   Here are the standouts from the semifinals rounds of the Division ll AA.    This talented 8th grader has been playing big minutes for the Lady Mustangs. She was definitely in her bag as she led the charge with 13 points. Hitting clutch shots through the game, Sage was the spark plug that helped the Lady Mustangs advance to the final game.     This talented senior has been consistent throughout her last year of play. The Western Carolina signee delivered once again as she scored 11 points and executed the offense effectively. Along with her ability to execute, she plays solid defense, slowing down the opposition. She's a tough kid who is destined to bring the championship back to Nashville.     This junior guard is becoming a solid two way player you don't want to miss play. She's very consistent in all she does. She contributes across the board and plays the game the right way. She finished with 11 points and provided solid defense that neutralized the Hutchison attack. Look for her to be an important piece for the Lady Mustangs in the championship game.     The Penn signee did all she could to help her club advance. Scoring 13 points for her club, she was the bright spot for this team that had a solid season. She leaves an impressive legacy behind as she is one of the top ballplayers that has worn a Hutchison uniform.     a Miss Basketball finalist, delivered an impressive performance as she finished the game with a double -double. She dropped 20 points and grabbed 12 boards. She couldn't be stopped as she led the charge for Knox Webb. Bucket after bucket, she dazzled the crowd and showcased why she is truly one of the best in the state. Look for her to do her part as her team advances to the championship game.     Played big-time minutes and did big time things. She had 18 points and 12 boards and was tough to deal with. Scoring over either shoulder and dominating the painted area, she was always in position to make an impact. Look for her to continue to be a solid contributor as her team advances to the next round.     Caps off an impressive high school career. The Trevecca signee did all she could for the Lady Lions of CPA. Finishing with 19 points and 4 boards, she was the top hooper for her squad. Those who know this young lady would tell you she's a tough competitor. Someone who leaves it all on the floor and gives it all she's got. She came back from a horrific injury last season and worked her tail off to return again. Though she falls short of the championship game, she's leaving the CPA program better than she found it.
