St James loaded up with talent in the first year of their program, and their backcourt was incredibly deep. The best of the bunch is probably Jezelle Banks, and she is not only one of the best guards in NOVA, but she is one of the best in the country. Jezelle is extremely quick and a truly special passer. She gets downhill with ease and is a terrific finisher. She is always thinking two steps ahead and has elite creativity to go along with these traits. I put her vision and ability to command an offense up there with anyone in the country, and she had St. James rolling this year.

There may not be a better scorer in NOVA than Sabrina Anderson. Sabrina is a true three-level scorer, and she was extremely efficient this year. Sabrina has next-level range and had a 50/40/90 year for Potomac School. She is more of a PG, but her ability off the ball as a shooter enables her to be played off the ball as a two. She is a special 1v1 scorer, and she is a tough shot maker who knows how to get to her spots. She was first-team all-state and 1st-team all-conference on a very good Potomac School team.

Another nationally ranked St. James player on this list is Ashley MacCalla. Ashley is an outstanding athlete and has the potential to be a special defender at whatever Power 4 school she decides to attend. She is a skilled and crafty finisher around the rim and does well playing either guard position. She is a good rebounder and does what is asked of her to win. On defense, she consistently has emphatic blocks and understands how to turn opponents over and be a defensive playmaker. She is an ideal two guard/wing, and it's no surprise she is so highly rated.

Amaya Ramey had an incredible year for Virginia Academy in her first year there. Amaya is a little streaky, but she is developing into a great spot-up shooter. Amaya is strong, and when she attacks the paint, you see players bounce off of her consistently. Virginia Academy was not healthy most of this year, but their success has to be attributed to Amaya in a lot of ways. Amaya was named player of the year for VISAA Division 2 and averaged 18 PPG and 7 RPG.

Geornae Davis had a great year for a young Bishop Ireton team. She has good vision, and it is most useful when she is playing out of the post. She is a terrific defender and shows how to defend the paint without being a great athlete. She is strong and uses that when she is bullying players in the post. Geronae was first team in the WCAC and will be one of the top players again next year, and Ireton should return all their production.
