Ray Kimball and Evan originally came together to create the first Headliners Invitational Showcase in November of 2023, and after stepping away in 2024, their belief in its purpose only grew stronger, leading to its return with the goal of becoming a lasting part of the community. I'm incredibly thankful to be included in something that carries so much intention and impact. The idea for Headliners developed from watching elite camps and prospect camps across the state—while there were valuable elements like live gameplay, scrimmaging, and structured exposure opportunities, there always seemed to be a gap in fully connecting players with meaningful recruiting visibility. Headliners was built to bridge that gap, centered around the mission of helping girls basketball prospects be seen and recruited by college coaches in a more complete and purposeful way.

HS Session, Headliners Invitational Showcase by [program_tooltip program_id='923712' first='Prepare' last='2 Win Basketball'] , Summit Academy North, March 22nd, 2026.

My coverage focused primarily on Teams Lynx, Sparks and Shock at the showcase. During 3v3 action, she battled consistently to establish position inside, showing determination and toughness against defenders. Her footwork stood out during drill work, where she displayed balance and technique around the basket. In 5v5 play, she continued to be effective—using her strength to finish around the rim and even stepping out for a solid drive from the wing. Throughout it all, her polished footwork and ability to operate in close made her a reliable interior presence.

Riley, competing with Team Shock at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, made a strong impact in the paint with her effort and physical presence. She battled consistently to establish position inside and was very active on the glass, turning multiple offensive rebounds into second-chance points. Around the basket, she showed persistence and toughness, refusing to be pushed off her spot. In addition to her scoring, Riley demonstrated good awareness as a passer out of the post, making smart reads and finding teammates when the defense collapsed. Her combination of effort, strength, and unselfish play made her a valuable interior contributor.

Brooklynn, competing with Team Shock at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, proved to be a versatile threat with the ability to impact the game both inside and on the perimeter. She attacked the basket with strength and control, finishing a couple of drives with a smooth spin move that was difficult for defenders to contain, and also showed touch by knocking down a mid-range jumper. On the glass, she was consistently active, securing multiple offensive rebounds while doing the little things like boxing out every possession. Defensively, Brooklynn stood out with her communication and awareness, constantly talking and organizing while locking in as a strong on-ball and team defender. Her high basketball IQ and all-around effort made her a steady and reliable presence throughout.

Katelyn, competing with Team Shock at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, made an impact as a guard with her quick burst and defensive intensity. On the defensive end, she stood out with her toughness and ability to stay in front of her assignment, consistently applying pressure. Her hustle was evident as well, highlighted by her willingness to dive on the floor for a loose ball, showing a high level of effort and competitiveness throughout her time on the court.

Sheana, competing with Team Shock at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, stood out as a skilled guard with a strong handle and defensive edge. She controlled the ball with confidence, creating space for herself while keeping defenders off balance. She used a smooth hesitation move to keep defenders off balance and create opportunities, not just for herself but for her teammates as well. Ella was especially effective in the pick-and-roll, reading the defense well and delivering a perfectly timed pass that led to an easy basket. Her ability to break down defenders and make smart decisions with the ball made her a key facilitator on the floor.

Avery, competing with Team Shock at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, showed her effectiveness within the flow of the offense and her awareness on both ends of the court. She executed a pick-and-roll well with a teammate, securing the pass cleanly and finishing the play with control. Away from the ball, she moved with purpose, finding open space and making herself available as a scoring option. Defensively, Avery was active and alert, anticipating passes and stepping into passing lanes to create disruptions. Her combination of timing, movement, and instincts allowed her to contribute in multiple ways throughout the game.

Lily, competing with Team Shock at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, delivered an impressive all-around performance as a guard with skill, pace, and confidence. She stood out during finishing drills with her footwork and touch around the basket, then carried that into game action by executing a polished Rondo-style move for a smooth finish. Lily was consistent from the perimeter, knocking down multiple three-point shots in both 3v3 and 5v5 play, while also showing strong fundamentals in catch-and-shoot situations during drills. She played with her head up in transition, pushing the tempo and creating opportunities for teammates with sharp, accurate passes. Along with her ability to handle the ball under control, she also competed hard on the defensive end, making her a well-rounded and impactful presence on the floor.
