In the heart of basketball country, Kentucky, the intensity is on another level when the district tournament begins. The 17th District delivered big time energy, big time performances, and a championship showdown that lived up to the moment!</p>

<p>The semifinals got things started with Elizabethtown knocking off John Hardin 57-49 in a tough battle to advance to the title game. In the other semifinal, North Hardin took control early and never let up, defeating Central Hardin 62-40 to earn their spot in the championship.</p>

<p>That set up a championship clash between North Hardin, who dominated district play with a perfect 8-0 record, and Elizabethtown, who came in at 3-5 but had the firepower to challenge anyone. When the final buzzer sounded it was the North Hardin Lady Trojans celebrating a 57-44 victory and cutting down the nets as district champions for the first time since 2024.</p>

<p>North Hardin showed all season why they were the team to beat in the district.</p>

<p>Senior [player_tooltip player_id='418066' first='Destiny' last='Scott'] put together a monster performance with 19 points, 13 blocks and 17 rebounds, completely controlling the paint and delivering a dominant triple double. Scott has been a force all season long, averaging 13.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.</p>

White averaged 7.3 points per game and consistently caused problems for opposing guards with her elite defense.</p>

<p>Senior [player_tooltip player_id='879343' first='Alanah' last='Dubose'] added 6 points in the championship and has been one of the most dangerous shooters on the roster all season. Dubose averaged 15.4 points per game and led the team in three point percentage.</p>

<p>Junior [player_tooltip player_id='913415' first='Asia' last='Charles'] finished with 5 points and 4 rebounds while bringing toughness and energy on both ends of the floor. Asia averaged 9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season.</p>

<p>Sophomore sensation [player_tooltip player_id='961302' first='Maliah' last='Courtney'] delivered an incredible performance with 28 points and 12 rebounds, putting the Panthers on her back offensively. Courtney has proven to be one of the most explosive scorers in the entire state regardless of class, averaging over 28 points and 9.3 rebounds per game this season.</p>

<p>Senior [player_tooltip player_id='376788' first='Miyah' last='Courtney'] added 9 points and 4 rebounds while continuing to be a steady leader for the Panthers. Miyah averaged 16.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season.</p>
