We've made it to the final stop — the state tournament. Every offseason workout, every rep together in June, every difficult moment this season has pointed to Thursday through Saturday. Now, Class 1A takes center stage.

A year ago, Grandview Prep ran through the bracket without a single postseason opponent finishing within single digits. Their championship run ended with an 11-point win over North Florida Educational Institute — the very team waiting for them in this year's opening round.

So the question is obvious: could this version of Grandview Prep be even better?

They graduated three Division I pieces. That's significant. But they return two anchors in [player_tooltip player_id='1091383' first='Seanna' last='Crooks'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1250000' first='Jada' last='Burns'] — both tested and wired for this stage. The intrigue lies in the reload. Three upperclassmen transfers step into the spots left by last year's seniors. This may be a more versatile group than last year's dominant squad, but the path isn't automatic. Here are those 3 new faces that can lead their Pride to glory:

Jasleen is no stranger to the state tournament, having played in it every year of her career. In her senior season, she's chasing a second ring, this time in a new uniform. Jasleen is the top player in this class, and her experience, skill, and poise should shine as Grandview Prep looks to defend their title.

Ameera has grown a lot playing on a talented high school club, learning to compete at a higher level from November to March. College will be another step up where she'll face new challenges that push her game even further, so you can see the expansion on her mental and physical already. Her strength, competitiveness, and size make her a tough matchup, and she could be too much for opponents in this state championship series.

Victoria returns to the state tournament in new threads with a chance to make a real run for a title. She's hungry for more after her previous experience and should find better shots this time with help from her teammates. Her handles and poise will help her navigate the defensive pressure NFEI will bring in the first round.

NFEI gets the immediate opportunity to flip last year's script. Revenge games really raise the stakes after thinking about this game for a whole year. If NFEI can create offense from defense again (19 points from turnovers vs. only 5 for Grandview) and even up the second chance points (8 last year vs. 22 for Grandview), this matchup could look different than last February.

Keep an eye on these four who return from last years runner-up squad:

In last year's state championship game, Sawsan didn't have her best shooting night which is something she hasn't forgotten heading into this rematch. This season, she leads NFEI in scoring and has been highly efficient inside the arc and thrives when she attacks the paint and takes quality shots instead of settling from three. Her shot selection will be critical against Grandview, especially in a game where empty possessions can quickly swing momentum. If she scores efficiently while impacting the game with her rebounding, playmaking, and defensive activity, NFEI will have a real chance to make this one competitive.

Last year in the state final, Jannell scored 24 points on 50% shooting and added seven rebounds and five steals. She will need to put points on the board again, but controlling the boards could make the biggest difference. On defense, her length and instincts can create turnovers and disrupt Grandview Prep's flow.

Beyonce finished last year with a plus-minus of zero, the best among players with significant minutes for the Fighting Eagles. Her size will be key against Grandview Prep's guards and forwards who also have good size and strength. She will need to contribute on the glass and protect the paint on both ends of the floor.

Jorrdann had a big impact last year with 15 points and her speed affecting the game in many ways. She could be NFEI's biggest key this year with her vision and passing, leading the team with 4.4 assists per game. On defense, her quickness and anticipation helped her lead the team with 4.1 steals per game. If she brings energy and creates points off turnovers, she gives NFEI a real chance to pull off the upset.

The Other Side of the Bracket

Orlando Christian Prep enters with an entirely new look from last season. New pieces, new identity, but plenty of talent. This group has experience with five seniors leading the way and some young talent adding to their depth. Here are two key seniors and impact players for OCP:

Rosemarie leads Orlando Christian Prep in scoring, assists, and steals. She sets the tone on both ends with her energy and basketball IQ. Against a guard-heavy Seacrest Country Day team, she'll need to limit turnovers, create opportunities for teammates, and lead with poise.

Bre is the tallest post in the classification and has a chance to dominate in the paint with her height, length, and skill. If she can grab a couple of double-doubles and protect the rim, Orlando Christian Prep has a real shot to make a deep run at the title.

Meanwhile, Seacrest Country Day School returns with experience after falling in last year's Elite 8. That sting matters. They're physical, disciplined, and capable of grinding out possessions. If this turns into a possession-by-possession semifinal, Seacrest may be the most comfortable team in that environment. Watch for these two underclassmen for the Stingray:

Aliyah is the only Stingray averaging double-digit points this season and will need to score at all three levels. She'll have to lead her team, protect the ball, and keep them poised while creating good looks on nearly every possession for Seacrest Country Day to have a shot at advancing to Saturday..

Dailin is one of the smoothest freshman guards in the state. She can score and pass effectively with both hands, making her hard to guard. Her strength on drives and ability to find open teammates gives Seacrest Country Day a real playmaking weapon on their path to the state championship.
