2027 Rankings: The Foundation Still Standing and Still Balling

From the moment the class first began to take shape, these players were already establishing themselves as names to watch. Over the last three to four years, they've done nothing but remain consistent, continue to develop, and uphold the standard as cornerstones of one of the state's deepest classes. Belton has been lights out the past few months that I've seen her. First, she held it down in the State tournament to lead her team to another state Championship. Belton connected on clutch shot after clutch shot under the pressure of the game and the pressure of winning it all - again. The Junior guard has always been a potent three-point shooter, but can score at the basket and in the midrange level. At Sunshine Showdown, Belton was clutch and one of the best perimeter shooters in the building. While many new names have emerged in the class, Belton has remained a constant—a foundation piece in the 2027 group who continues to set the bar and uphold the standard of the 2027 class.     [player_tooltip player_id='846674' first='Eni' last='Oyedeji'] has been a staple in the 2027 rankings, and as she enters her Senior season, the talented center comes in at number 11 in the rankings. Oyedeji produces in a lot of levels on the court and has the potential to be dominant in a lot of areas. She produces on offense, controls the paint on defense, and makes defenders hesitate attacking the rim. Oyedeji has been a constant in the rankings and has been steady. The ceiling is still there for Oyedeji to put together a breakout senior campaign.     Ameera Kone' has been a staple in the 2027 rankings, and her talents were revealed as early as the Freshman Expo. There, Kone displayed her versatility as a player. Blessed with a college frame, she showed an ability to mix it up on the glass, score through contact, and connectr in the midrange area. Kone' has definitely shown her versatility as a player - running point, playing the two, playing on the wing, and showcasing a scoring touch from each position. Kone shoots the ball well from the three-point line and put on a shooting expedition in the state semifinals. She can also run the break on the wing or lead the break with the ball in hand. Kone has been consistent the past few years and has helped the class maintain the standard they created early on.     [player_tooltip player_id='221602' first='Kori' last='Edge'] is another 2027 guard who has helped the class maintain the standard. Edge has good speed and attacks the rim with craftiness and purpose. She knows how to get to the free throw linea nd put points on the board. The guard can also put the ball in the rim from the three-point line. Edge has been consistent since day 1. This past season, Edge averaged close to 9 points per game and was a playmaker with 4 assists per game. Defensively, she presses up on the ball handler and can set up steals in the passing lane. She was named First Team All-Dade County, which comes as no surprise for a player who has long been a staple in the 2027 class. As a freshman, she averaged 11.1 points per game, and it was clear that she had the tools to be a standout. As Anderson enters her senior season, she has definitely been a consistent standout and has represented the 2027 class well. She is quick, can get to the rim, handle the ball on a string, and can shoot from the perimeter. Anderson was sensational at the recent Sunshine Showdown, where she controlled the pace, handled the pressure, and delivered on both ends of the floor. Anderson's name has always been recognizable as a reliable prospect, and she only enhanced that sentiment with her play over the spring. White has the ability to be a dominant force on both ends of the floor. Offensively, White is versatile - she can score in the paint off the catch with her back to the basket and can put the ball down and attack the rim as well. White can also shoot the three on occasion, but she is most dangerous the closer she gets to the basket. Defensively, White can defend on the perimeter and mix it up inside. The forward can also run the floor and finish well on the break. There is not much that White cannot do on the floor. She has a high ceiling heading into her senior year and in her final grassroots season. She has been a staple in the 2027 class.
