Unfortunately, I was unable to make the trip up to Appleton this season due to things that took priority over basketball. However, that doesn't mean I can't earmark some players to see on the final day of the 2026 iteration of the Champions Challenge. Hopefully, before you, the reader, head out to the Champions Challenge tomorrow, you'll learn a few names from this article and want to see some players from off the beaten path.

I was impressed with the Wisconsin Rapids native the first time I saw her this AAU season, about a month ago. Konkol has shown she can handle the ball under pressure and has created shots off the dribble. She is a player who took me by surprise from how I viewed her in her first high school season, and it took a few possessions for me to rethink what I had seen over the winter, which shows a lot of growth on her end.

The Appleton North guard is among the more intriguing guard prospects in her class. Brown has the skill to play through pressure and has more flair than anyone else in her class, which makes her fun to watch when she's on the floor. Brown had a few minutes here and there with the Lightning this past season, but in an AAU setting with the [program_tooltip program_id='713145' first='Wisconsin' last='Blizzard'], she could be more impressive than you might expect from watching her this past high school season.

The pace at which lead guards play says a lot about how they view the game, and Peterson understands the value of playing at her own pace. Peterson plays to her strength and doesn't allow defenses to take her out of her rhythm on the offensive end, which has led to immediate success at the high school level and continued success at the grassroots level. She has the tools to be a player who gets the most out of players around her and scores from all three levels off the dribble.

The Eau Claire native is a guard who was a high-usage player for the Huskies of Eau Claire North and had mixed results, which is expected for a young player like her. Neumueller is a kid who can create with the ball in her hands and score from the perimeter. There is plenty of room for her to grow and develop over the next few years and find new levels to grow her game.

Unfortunately, I was unable to make the trip up to Appleton this season due to things that took priority over basketball. However, that doesn't mean I can't earmark some players to see on the final day of the 2026 iteration of the Champions Challenge.
