From high-level scorers and versatile wings to physically advanced post players, these freshmen made immediate varsity impact across the region this season. Several have already shown Division I-level tools, whether through size, skill, athleticism, or basketball IQ. With many thriving against older competition, this group looks positioned to shape the area's basketball landscape for years to come.    Andrews emerged as one of the top freshman scorers in the state, consistently producing at all three levels while handling heavy defensive attention. The 5-foot-8 combo guard combines toughness, confidence, and advanced offensive instincts, thriving both as a scorer and creator. Her ability to attack the rim, knock down perimeter shots, and impact the game defensively makes her one of the most complete young guards in Northern Virginia.     McEldon's blend of size, skill, and versatility immediately made her one of the most intriguing freshmen in the area. At 6-foot-2, she stretches the floor with perimeter shooting while also rebounding and finishing effectively inside. Her ability to create matchup problems against older competition helped fuel Bishop Ireton's championship-level season.     Foreso brought fundamental physicality to the paint, thriving through contact and consistently controlling the glass. The freshman post player plays with a relentless motor, runs the floor well, and creates second-chance opportunities with her rebounding presence. Her toughness, interior finishing, and willingness to embrace the dirty work already make her one of the better young frontcourt players in the WCAC.     Curry showcased tremendous versatility this season, impacting games as both a scorer and playmaker from the wing. The long, athletic freshman rebounds well, defends multiple positions, and has the offensive polish to comfortably handle the ball or score from the perimeter. Her ability to thrive playing up against elite competition highlights her long-terms upside.     Hill quickly established herself as a poised lead guard capable of controlling tempo and making winning plays. She excelled in Stafford's up-tempo system with her perimeter shooting, active on-ball defense, and steady decision-making. Hill's composure, pace, and ability to deliver in key moments make her one of the more underrated young guards in the region.     Williams made a major impact during Kettle Run's season with her length, athleticism, and two-way versatility. The 5-foot-11 wing can defend multiple positions while also creating offense in transition and scoring at different levels. Her defensive activity, physical tools, and ability to make plays off the dribble give her significant long-term potential.     Wimmer steadily emerged as one of Centreville's most impactful players as the season progressed. She affects the game defensively with her mobility, length, and shot-blocking ability while also stretching the floor offensively with consistent perimeter shooting. Her developing inside-out skill set and strong basketball pedigree point toward a potential breakout sophomore season.     Coleman provided Potomac School with a strong interior presence thanks to her physicality, rebounding, and efficiency around the rim. The 6-foot-1 forward showed promising touch from the foul line and mid-range while consistently finishing through contact inside. Her strength, athletic upside, and developing offensive game make her a player with considerable growth potential.     Dozier immediately stood out with her athleticism, speed, and explosiveness, but her overall feel for the game impressed just as much. She played with Freedom's system effectively while showing strong fundamentals and the ability to finish with either hand. Her combination of athletic tools and disciplined play gives her a very high ceiling moving forward.     Krohl fit seamlessly into Washington-Liberty's rotation thanks to her basketball IQ and polished guard play. She handled ball-handling duties confidently while also contributing as a perimeter scorer with a reliable three-point shot. Her feel for the game and ability to impact winning make her a player to watch as her role continues to expand.     Willis already possesses one of the more advanced offensive skill sets among area freshmen, highlighted by her college-ready shooting ability. The 5-foot-10 wing scores at all three levels, defends multiple positions, and plays with strong poise and versatility. With her size, IQ, and athleticism, Willis looks poised to continue gaining major traction on the national circuit.     Wilson made her presence felt this season with her relentless energy, fearless attacking mentality, and defensive intensity. The combo guard pressures the ball full court, forces turnovers, and consistently competes with high effort on both ends. Offensively, her downhill playmaking, active hands, and maturity beyond her years continue to elevate her stock as one of the better freshmen guards in the area.
