All-NOVA Sophomore Team 2025-2026

Northern Virginia's sophomore class continued its rise during the 2025-2026 season with several players emerging as stars at both the district and state levels. This group is loaded with versatile wings, dynamic guards, and physically advanced forwards capable of impacting the game in multiple ways. Many already serves as primary options for play-off caliber teams while also proving themselves against elite competition on the travel circuit. From explosive scorers to high-IQ facilitators and dominant interior presences, the Class of 2028 is shaping into one of the strongest groups in the region.    Jackson played a pivotal role in Bishop Ireton's state title defense with her ability to score from all areas of the floor. The 5-foot-9 combo guard stands out with her advanced handle, downhill explosiveness, and improving perimeter shot, while also creating offense for teammates. Her versatility, tempo control, and all-around production already make her one of the top sophomore guards in Northern Virginia.     Augustin elevated her game this season despite facing increased defensive attention, continuing to establish herself as one of the area's premier two-way guards. She relentlessly attacks the basket, finishes through contact, rebounds well for her size, and applies constant defensive pressure. Her toughness, athleticism, and high motor make her a difficult matchup on both ends of the floor.     Allen adjusted quickly to the physicality of the WCAC while maintaining her reputation as an aggressive scoring guard. She thrives attacking downhill with speed and toughness, consistently putting pressure on defenses by getting into the paint and creating scoring opportunities. Her energy, competitiveness, and ability to deliver in high-pressure moments make her a major offensive weapon for Paul VI.     White remains one of the most versatile players in the state thanks to her rare ability to impact every facet of the game. The 5-foot-10 forward scores efficiently inside, rebounds at a high level, defends multiple positions, and creates constant matchup problems with her athleticism and skill set. Her production, two-way impact, and ability to elevate her game in key moments continue to separate her from many of her peers.     Armah took a significant step forward this season, particularly with her improved perimeter shooting and overall offensive confidence. The Liberty District Defensive Player of the Year uses her length, instincts, and athleticism to disrupt passing lanes and create transition opportunities. Combined with her evolving scoring ability and versatility as a point-forward type, Armah continues to establish herself as one of the top two-way sophomores in the area.     Brimhall once again proved to be one of the region's most productive forwards with her ability to score in transition and in the halfcourt. She uses her athletic size, quick first step, and physicality to exploit mismatches while also stretching the floor with an improving three-point shot. Her rebounding, versatility, and offensive instincts make her the centerpiece of Colonial Forge's attack.     Jenkins developed into one of the area's most reliable interior presences thanks to her strength, footwork, and toughness around the basket. She consistently controls the paint with rebounding, interior scoring, and the ability to finish through contact on either side of the rim. Her motor, physicality, and evolving versatility give Stafford a dependable two-way force in the frontcourt.     Jungman's growth this season was evident in her confidence, defensive activity, and expanded offensive skill set. The long, versatile guard impacts the game as both a scorer and facilitator while using her speed and instincts to create steals and transition opportunities defensively. With her ability to score at all three levels and defend multiple positions, Jungman's ceiling continues to rise entering her next chapter at Potomac School.     Doane emerged as one of the top young point guards in the area with her blend of toughness, speed, and defensive intensity. She consistently pressures opposing ball handlers, creates offense off the dribble, and understands how to control the flow of the game as a true lead guard. Her passing ability, relentless motor, and scoring upside make her one of the more intriguing sophomores in Northern Virginia.     Coffer continues to establish herself as the steady engine behind Woodbridge's talented sophomore class. The high-IQ guard plays with poise under pressure, controls the offense effectively, and scores at all three levels with her floater, pull-up jumper, and perimeter shooting. Her decision-making, ball-handling, and defensive anticipation make her one of the more polished young guards in the region.     Hall became a major offensive spark for Marshall this season with her ability to score efficiently from beyond the arc and facilitate within the offense. The combo guard plays with poise and a strong understanding of the game, consistently making smart decisions on both ends of the floor. Her shooting ability, defensive instincts, and basketball IQ position her as a key building block for the Statesmen moving forward.     Srinivas emerged as a key contributor for a young Briar Woods team with her scoring versatility and all-around impact. She spaces the floor effectively as a perimeter shooter while also attacking downhill aggressively and competing hard on the glass. Her defensive activity, toughness, and growing offensive confidence continue to make her one of the more promising young guards in the Potomac District.
