[player_tooltip player_id='748554' first='Aniyah' last='Pearson'] showed quality point guard skills on both sides of the ball. She displayed strong handles and was steady even when facing pressure. She was very impressing displaying instincts and handled the responsibility of running the offense well and getting the ball where it needed to go. She controlled tempo in stretches and made smart decisions with the ball- she passed well and showed she could shoot the midrange, connect on the three, and get to the rim. Pearson competed on both ends. The ability to lead, stay under control, and create opportunities for teammates made her one of the better under-the-radar guards in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1172571' first='Mia' last='Sanchez'] brought toughness, competitiveness, and energy every time she stepped on the floor at the Florida Brawl. While she was not overly aggressive looking for her own shots, she impacted the game in several other ways through defense, hustle plays, rebounds, and passing. Sanchez was especially impressive defensively, showing the ability to pressure the ball on the perimeter while also creating problems in the passing lanes. Offensively, she displayed good court awareness and often looked to create opportunities for teammates, but when she chose to shoot, she showed she could knock down perimeter shots, including a couple of nice three-pointers. Her tough-nosed style, defensive intensity, and willingness to do the little things made her one of the more effective hidden gems at the event.

Meaghan Hicks played well throughout the Florida Brawl, showing strong control from the point guard position and consistently making quality decisions with the basketball. She handled the ball with confidence, directed the offense effectively, and showed a strong understanding of the pick-and-roll game. At times she attacked the rim aggressively herself, while other times she delivered smart, timely passes to teammates. One of the more impressive parts of her game was how quickly she could turn defense into offense. Hicks was very effective playing over the top of presses, creating steals, and immediately converting those opportunities into transition layups. She showed high basketball IQ, playmaking ability, and the ability to handle a lot of responsibility offensively. For a young sophomore point guard, her overall production, leadership, and composure stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1246253' first='Jordyn' last='Brooks'] put together a solid showing at the Florida Brawl, and displaying a versatile offensive skill set. Brooks showed the ability to play on the perimeter, handle the basketball effectively, and score at all three levels. She connected on some perimeter shots and continued shooting with confidence even when the percentages were low at times. Brooks also showed the ability to attack off the dribble, get to the rim with, and finish in the paint. While there is still room for greater consistency with her three point shooting, her talent, versatility, and offensive upside were clearly noticeable throughout the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1850422' first='Daisy' last='Williamson'] may not have been one of the headline standouts at the Florida Brawl, but she emerged as a hidden gem because of her athleticism, speed, and overall competitiveness. Williamson played with confidence, defended aggressively in the passing lanes, and used her quickness to create opportunities in transition. She was effective getting up and down the floor, attacking the rim, and finishing plays in the open court while also handling point guard responsibilities well. Offensively, there is still room for growth and development, but her tenacity, defensive effort, and leadership qualities stood out. Williamson will be a very solid leader for Sandalwood and her teammates already look to her for leadership.

[player_tooltip player_id='1846204' first='Holeigh' last='Brown'] was one of the more intriguing long-term prospects at the Florida Brawl. The first thing that immediately stood out was her size and overall frame. At 6-foot-2 as a 10th grader, Brown already possesses physical tools that are difficult to teach. She showed the ability to establish position inside and was active on the boards while continuing to compete throughout the weekend. Brown is still developing and has areas where growth will come with time and experience. With continued development, conditioning, and game reps, her best basketball is clearly still ahead of her.

Abyssal Perkins is beginning to emerge as a player who can provide valuable minutes and stability for her team. She handled the ball well and showed the ability to score from the midrange and perimeter. While consistency is still an area for growth, the potential is there. The biggest thing for her moving forward is continuing to stay confident and keep playing through adversity when things do not go her way. With continued development and experience, she has the tools to become a dependable contributor for Ribault.
