Moving into the #6 spot in this most recent Update is Tylee Weite of DSM Valley High School and Minnesota Fury AAU. Weite has been known for her knock down shooting ability on the offensive end for years. I think her game on that side of the ball can be summed up with the fact that she just happens to move off of the basketball into open space at an elite rate. Sometimes that ends with shots from deep and sometimes that's with back cuts behind a lacking defender near the rim. Either way, she gets open and that's all that matters. When it comes to her defense, she does well with her size. She has more length than most for her position and that shows with tips/deflections. Weite will end up at the D1 level once she makes her college decision. She has options and those will keep stacking until she is lock in somewhere.

Sometimes I think that Maryn Franken gets a little disrespect because she has been committed for a few years now but she is going to a well known program, that has put together some really impressive seasons the last couple of years so I'd watch out because Franken knows how to play. She is a 6'0 SF, that produces near and far from the bucket as a Forward. She is versatile so she can spread the floor by moving to the outside to screen or shoot but she does most of her noteworthy work in-between the blocks. Her strength and size is more notable than most, especially because she knows how to use them to her every advantage on both ends. In this Update Franken comes in at the #7 overall spot and as the #1 rated SF out of the 2027 Class.

Lizzy Frazell continues to make her mark as a next level prospect whenever she is hooping. Frazell is one of those players that coaches love to work with because of her combination of size, speed, skill, and smarts. She is a guard with better than average height, she has a fundamental ability to put the ball in the bucket from all offensive levels, and she is a teammate that everyone likes to be around by the looks of it. She can be used as your team's Forward or she can be used as the 2 or 3, depending on the lineup surrounding her. On the Varsity floor during high school ball she has to do SEVERAL different thinks for her squad. At the next level with Drake, it'll become a little easier when she can specialize into that CG position.

It's been two years in a row now that we have seen Cassidy Danburg at the State Tournament to end her season and each time she looked like an even better prospects than the time before. This AAU season Danburg has built off of that momentum and used it for good to help boost her play on the road. We only have one more month left of AAU so she is looking to end things with bang and then use that momentum to lead her right back into high school things this Fall. Something that is very do-able out of Danburg's current position. She has the height you can't teach and her skill is starting to get noticed more and more by coaching staffs at the next level. Which is only right. She checks off a lot of boxes that recruiters are going to have so it's only a matter of time until she ends up committed.

There are not too many that are highly ranked in multiple sports at the Varsity level but Logan Vogt is one of those individuals. Vogt is pound-for-pound the most athletic player out of this 2027 Class. She comes in at 6'1 and it doesn't take her much effort or time to get down the entire length of the court. As you might imagine she is really good at beating her opponent to their spots going both directions and when she gets into 1v1 situations she thrives because her coordination and athletic ability takes her over the top. Literally. When Waukee NW wins most of their contests this Winter, a big reason will be because of their play in the middle with monsters like Vogt but for now she will round us out of our Top 10 at #10.
