Perpich was one of the most complete PG's out of the 2029 Class last Winter as a Freshman on the Varsity level and her numbers reflexed that. She was a hooper that played a swift but calm game, always showing up each night she competed. She might not have been the one to average 25 a night but she filled up the stat sheet in every way imaginable while making everyone else around her better and that's what you want from your #1 PG. I could see this upcoming Winter being an even better season as a whole for Perpich.. They should return most from a year ago and they made the State Tournament so their hopes are high when they have prospects like this on roster returning.

Des Moines Lincoln is in for a treat this Winter with Yasanna Love Smith transferring over moving forward. Love Smith is a smart and calculated Guard, that competes with a ton of energy. She brings positive vibes alone with her play style and she knows how to get the most out of those around her. You could say it's almost contagious in a sense. She gets the people going with her effort and dedication when she is blazing a trail down the court and I don't expect that to change anytime soon. We expect Love Smith to receive the keys to the car this upcoming season. She should be able to show her full arsenal as her team's unquestionable leader and that's going to be electric for anyone in attendance.

It's been a nice AAU season for Maya Jenkins of Forest City High School. Jenkins, the 5'4 CG, has been getting buckets and showing everyone watching that she is getting better in her off-time with the dedicated work she is putting in right now. This is a hooper that has been a standout at the middle school levels over the year's so it's not shocking that she has had a respectable start for her high school career and that's continuing into her Sophomore year. The Forest City team is young but they have other respectable players to put around Jenkins moving forward. As long as they work as a group towards one common goal, they should like how things play out, but individually and as a whole.

There is some obvious skill to Gracie Wilson and her play making ability. She is a lengthy Guard, that knows how to score the rock when given adequate time and spacing. Sometimes in this game we use the term, less is more and I think that's the case with Wilson. She plays with great tempo and knows the X's and O's, that's why I think she just needs to let the game come to her at times. As a Freshman when she would force shot attempts or things of that nature, it looked really jumbled up as a whole. When she let things flow naturally, she was really impressive and one of the best on the floor for her Rams team. With the new coach and system that this group will have this Winter, Wilson could be an all-state type hooper. She just needs to find her niche within how they are going to play and the rest will be history.

Sometimes you just have players that know how the game goes. They know how everything works around them, they know what their teammates do best, and they are willing to sacrifice everything so that those around them can be successful. We see glimpses of that in Maddison Riser of Clear Lake High School and Lady Martin Bro's AAU. Coming down the court she knows where to go, she knows where her teammates are going to be and when they are going to be there, she works ridiculously hard to create space for those around her, and she never gives up on a play. There is a lot to like out of Riser from an outside point of view. If she continues to work on her weaknesses, she is going to be someone we continue to hear about over the next couple of years.
