There were a handful of prospects that stood out as Freshman last season on the Varsity floor because of their physical dominance combined with their adaptability. One of those players, that I expect to take another big step moving into this Fall is Albany Reinke. Reinke has that mixture of size, skill, and smarts that all coaches love to see out on the hardwood. She showed up each contest last Winter and was impactful on both sides of the ball, which is something you can't say for most. In reality she could be considered more of a CG but she is versatile enough to move to the SF spot when needed and I think that plays into her future potential more than you might think.

The numbers do not lie. Eden Horn is a presence to note in between the blocks. She registered one of the highest numbers in the state as a rebounder and blocker as a Freshman. That stood out to evaluators watching from afar. When you have defense like this, it travels and it's something you can build on. When you add on the rebound, it's even better. I'm hoping we see even more ability out of Horn over the next couple of years. Like I said, she has the base and her work ethic is there so she just needs to keep her head down and to keep working.

Kennedy has more than one baller on their squad returning this Winter but someone that everyone is going to have to worry about when they play is Ella Jameson because of her height in the center of the floor. Jameson isn't just tall. She is demanding. She demands the attention of those around her or else she is going to have 10/10 every single quarter when she is hooping. She stands tall next to the basket and she knows where to place her body when trying to box out and rebound on both sides of the ball. She is one of those types that can assume the shot is going to be a miss and she can place herself correctly to have a great chance at the bound in one way or another. If Jameson can work to play off of their impactful Guards more over the next season, they are going to be a real tough group to stop on a nightly basis.

When you talk about Ottumwa and their Post play as of late it's because of their main producer but someone that shouldn't go unnoticed is Blake Goldsmith. Goldsmith would be a main producer on a lot of other teams throughout the state. It just happens to be that she sits next to a very dominant post prospect in Emma Ryder of Mokan Elite EYBL. Either way, this is someone that is going to be able to play on the college floor one day if she stays confident within her process. She has the natural size and that's going to be enough to stack on throughout her future if she plays her cards correctly.

Zane Ehler helped lead her team last Winter to an almost undefeated record, marking their best overall season in school history for the Tigers. Ehler, the 6'1 Center, was a force that most could not handle. Her size, her strength, all of it was too much. If she ever missed a bucket, she was usually taller than the opponent and that led to several O boards. On defense she recorded great numbers in rebounds and blocks, while controlling the lane traffic at a steady rate throughout the year. With this type of reinforcements in the middle, Tipton should be very excited for the future. They are going to be a team that most can't handle underneath and that is going to give them a big advantage as they try to make their mark on history once again.
