It's always really exciting when new prospects move in and around the Top 25 within these young grade levels. In this Update we had several moves occur within the Top 25, including adding a number of prospects that have been doing really well this last few months on the road during AAU season following their Freshman year of high school ball. Below we highlight some of those individuals.

Sophie Bird move into the Top 15 at #15 in this Update because of the AAU Spring she had and because of her future potential upside within this game. Bird is a lengthy competitor at 5'10. She has solid athletic ability and she is fairly skilled on both sides of the ball to pair along with that length, which helps her within her individual matchups. Last season as a Freshman this was a standout for Grand View Christian in more ways than one. It seems like she continues to get better each time we watch her compete so I can't wait to see what she will be able to do this Winter as a Sophomore as their main producer.

Production speaks volumes and Blair Winter produces on every floor she competes on from the looks of it. We have watched Winter kill it the last twelve months on the high school court and on the road. She is consistent being a threat near the hoop with her back to the basket, she welcomes physical play - no matter who is lined up across from her, and she stands out as a defender who can protect the lane at a steady rate as well. I expect Winter to start to expand her game to the outside more and more as she refines her abilities at the Forward position as she continues to grow up. She possesses a lot of promise at this point and that's why she moves up to #18 in this Update.

T. Jones demonstrated last Winter that she was someone that her Varsity team could rely on and that's noteworthy considering that their group made the 4A State Title game. Jones came in off the bench most of the season and made an impact from then outside to kick things off. To earn her minutes to start the year she was really good in the aspects of catching and shooting from deep, hitting several buckets throughout the duration of the season. She also got to the hoop and finished a decent amount whenever the situation would call of it. Jones is going to be looked upon to make some big plays this upcoming season once again. She is holding her own right now during the travel season with her AIA team out of DSM as she moves into the Top 25 at #20 this time around and I'm sure she is excited to finish things off with a bang come July.

Another individual who has had some undeniable production over the last few months is Paetyn Peterson of Pleasant Valley High School and Missouri Phenom AAU. Peterson has had a few outings where she scored near 40 points because of her dominance next to the bucket on either side. Along with these big scoring stat lines, she was also grabbing rebounds at a high rate, usually averaging a double-double in each contest she has played moving into the month of July. Peterson's first appearance in this Top 25 is at #21. A respectable spot but if she wants to keep it this Winter she is going to have to continue her dominance on the high school floor. Something that is more than do-able from what we have seen as of late.

There is still a lot to be learned about Kinzley Farley and what she might be able to bring to the game of basketball. For now we know that she is a 5'10 PG with a natural feel of the game and she did a good job of making her presence known last season at Wapsie Valley along next to her older sister. She was a prospect that showed off her smarts whenever she could and she wasn't afraid of the moment. She was willing to make plays and more importantly - she was willing to fail if need be. That alone is going to help her win in the long run. Not just in this game but in life. Farley sneaks into the #23 spot moving into July. If she continues to get better, she should be able to keep moving up this list over-time.
