Private, public, charter, you name it, the number of schools in and around the city is crazy. The hoop scene is in the upswing, so I had to revisit the Division II-AA sector again.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Normally, I wouldn't do it, but with many girls either receiving or about to receive D1 or D2 offers, I had to tap back into the well and show them some love.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the next few years, the quality of basketball in the city will see an upswing. With the amount of talent on the floor, schools will be taking an interest in this crop. I've already mentioned a talented group of young ladies. Here is another set that will surely pique your interest as well. This kid is a lethal scoring threat that scorches the bottom of the net at all levels. Playing with even more confidence, she finds it hard to slow down when she has the ball in her hands. She can stretch the floor by shooting the 3-pointer, as well as do work on the inside as well. She can play the low post area, exploit the mid-range, but one thing she also does well is crash the boards. She will be a solid addition to a club at the next level. She's always in the mix, doing whatever it takes to help her club. Offensively, she is going to be in attack mode, trying to get downhill, but will fire away from 3. Her defense is solid, as she looks to slow down the opposition. She's a hustler, one who will go after loose balls any chance she has. This kid plays the game fast and is always looking to take it to the opposition. Creative off the dribble, she is going to get her favorable spots. Shooting 3s, getting to the rim, she is going to find a way to put the ball in the net. Don't sleep on her on the defensive end. She is going to be a tough outing for sure. A kid who can work inside, but also fill it up along the perimeter. She contributes on the boards, plays solid D, and can block shots. She's added to her game and is playing with a lot of confidence.
