Day 1 of the FABC Live Period Showcase tipped off Thursday in Gainesville and provided a full day of opportunities for players to make an impression. With six courts operating under one roof in Florida, college coaches, scouts, and media members were able to evaluate a large number of prospects without ever leaving the building. The unique setup created a nonstop flow of talent throughout the day as teams from across Florida (and one GA team) squared off in an exciting atmosphere. Several players elevated their stock with standout performances, and the following prospects were among those who caught my attention during Thursday's action:

Kaydince consistently put pressure on the defense with strong drives through traffic and finished several crafty buckets around the rim. She showed good body control and creativity when navigating tight spaces, including one impressive drive where she got low and squeezed between multiple defenders for a score. Her playmaking stood out as well as she willingly looked to feed her post players and made the extra pass when necessary. Kaydince contributed on the glass and was effective rebounding and pushing the ball in transition while maintaining control of the pace. Her effort was evident throughout the game as she competed hard and made an impact on both ends of the floor.

Isabella put on a show against one of the top teams in the state and delivered one of the most impressive shooting performances of the day. She knocked down four three-pointers and showcased deep range that extended well beyond the arc. Her shot mechanics are clean, the rotation is consistent, and she shoots with a confidence that makes her a constant threat whenever she touches the ball. Beyond her scoring, Isabella made several high-level passes and showed good feel as a playmaker. She plays hard, shares the ball, and consistently puts the team first. With her positional size and frame, she has all the tools to continue trending upward.

This was my first opportunity to see Daynah play live, and she immediately stood out with her frame and length for a player in the 2030 class. She showed promise on both ends of the floor by using her length to block shots and alter others around the basket. Offensively, her jumper features a high release point that should be difficult for defenders to contest as she continues to develop. Her motor also caught my attention as she hustled for loose balls and wasn't afraid to dive on the floor to make winning plays. Daynah is a young prospect with intriguing physical tools and upside as a 2030 name worth monitoring as her game continues to evolve.

Lilly had an impressive debut with Lake Highland Prep. She impacted the game in a variety of ways, including crashing the offensive glass and coming away with multiple second-chance opportunities from the guard position. With her effort, she converted an and-one after an offensive rebound and showed great anticipation by jumping a passing lane for a steal before finishing in transition. Around the basket, she used the glass effectively and played with confidence attacking the rim. Her outside shot was equally impressive as she knocked down shots from well beyond the arc with deep range, clean mechanics, and excellent rotation on the ball.

Aubrey was one of the best players in the gym on Thursday and put together a highly efficient performance. She shot the ball extremely well by knocking down multiple shots from beyond the arc and even connecting on a long two-point jumper, all while displaying excellent mechanics and consistent rotation on her shot. Beyond her scoring, she impacted the game on the glass and showed her versatility by rebounding and immediately pushing the ball in transition. Her combination of skill, size, and strength allows her to influence the game in a variety of ways, and she consistently made winning plays throughout the contest. Aubrey's all-around game and ability to contribute in multiple areas made her one of the day's top performers.

Aliah turned in an impressive performance in a quality post matchup against a taller and older opponent. She held her own physically and showcased why she is regarded as one of the top post prospects in her class. Defensively, she protected the rim with blocked shots and used her presence to make things difficult around the basket. Offensively, she displayed much more than just a traditional post game by showing strong handles and good movement when attacking downhill to the rim. In the post, her footwork stood out as she used step-throughs, fakes, and counters to create space and get quality looks. She also showed a strong feel with her back to the basket, reading where the defender was positioned and making decisive moves based on which shoulder she felt contact. Aliah played with physicality throughout the game and demonstrated a skill set above her age that should continue to make her a high-level prospect to follow.

Devyn did what she always does and competed at a high level from start to finish. What made this performance especially impressive was the level of competition she faced, yet she never backed down from the challenge. Her defensive impact was felt all over the floor as she blocked three-point attempts, pressured opponents full court, and consistently got her hands on passes for deflections. Offensively, she showed toughness by converting a difficult and-one through contact. Throughout the game, college coaches were buzzing about her length, frame, and overall game. Devyn's motor, versatility, and ability to affect winning on both ends continue to make her a player that stands out whenever she takes the floor.
