Defensively, Kaydince has established herself as one of the top defenders in the class by using her activity level, ball pressure, and anticipation to disrupt opposing ball handlers and force mistakes. A tireless worker who embraces the dirty work, her toughness and impact beyond the box score have fueled her steady rise in the rankings.

Kaydince consistently put pressure on the defense with strong drives through traffic and finished several crafty buckets around the rim. She showed good body control and creativity when navigating tight spaces, including one impressive drive where she got low and squeezed between multiple defenders for a score. Her playmaking stood out as well as she willingly looked to feed her post players and made the extra pass when necessary. Kaydince contributed on the glass and was effective rebounding and pushing the ball in transition while maintaining control of the pace. Her effort was evident throughout the game as she competed hard and made an impact on both ends of the floor.

Jupiter’s strong underclassmen group has them positioned as the higher 4-seed against Palm Beach Lakes in what’s essentially a rubber match, with both teams owning a win and Jupiter taking the most recent meeting. Kaydince could be the separator this time around. She plays relentlessly hard, sees the floor exceptionally well, and delivers timely passes that create quality looks. Defensively, she makes impact plays, rebounds well for her position, and finishes effectively at the rim. In a matchup this tight, her energy, effort, and all-around presence could be what puts Jupiter over the top.

Kaydince was impressive on defense with her active hands that led to some key deflections and steals for her team throughout camp. Another thing to love about her active hands was her ability to pick the pockets of opponents to create offense for her team through defense. She had some nice finishes in the lane and hit a really nice runner during the 5×5 games.
