Day 2 of the FABC Live Period Showcase brought another full slate of talent to Gainesville as players continued to compete in front of college coaches from across multiple levels. With six courts operating simultaneously under one roof, I was able to move seamlessly from game to game and take in some of the state's top prospects and emerging underclassmen. Friday featured several high-level matchups and individual performances that generated plenty of buzz throughout the gym. The following players were among those who stood out and made a strong impression during Friday's action:

Trinity made her presence felt on both ends of the floor starting with her defensive impact. She consistently locked up opposing players and competed with a relentless motor throughout the game. Offensively, she knocked down the three-ball with a high release and smooth mechanics while showing the ability to get her shot off even with limited space. Her range extends well beyond the arc which makes her a threat whenever she is on the perimeter. What stood out most was her heart and hustle. Trinity dove on the floor for loose balls and even launched herself out of bounds to save possessions. Those are the types of winning plays coaches love to see. Her toughness, effort, and two-way impact helped her stand out during Friday's action.

Gabby impacted the game in a variety of ways and showed a strong all-around skill set. She made a great pass to a post player running the floor and later delivered a nice kick-out pass that led to a three. Defensively, she protected the rim with blocked shots and made her presence felt around the basket. One of her best plays came when she used a shot fake to get her defender off balance before attacking the rim for a physical and-one finish through contact. She worked hard to establish position on the glass and rebounded well throughout the game. Gabby also rolled hard to the rim in pick-and-roll situations which created scoring opportunities and put pressure on the defense.

This was my first time seeing Bella and she left a strong impression. She has good length and stands out as a bouncy athlete who moves well in space. Her athleticism gives her upside on both ends of the floor and allows her to impact the game in a variety of ways. What caught my attention most was her feel as a passer. Bella made good reads in pick-and-roll situations and consistently delivered passes at the right angle to create scoring opportunities for her teammates. She showed a strong understanding of spacing and timing which helped keep the offense flowing. Bella is a prospect with intriguing tools and one I will be looking forward to seeing more of in the future.

Shaw showed why she is such a difficult matchup with her combination of length, skill, and feel for the game. One of the highlights of her performance was a smooth spin move to the basket that created space and led to an easy finish. She consistently stayed active around the ball and never gave up on plays. On one possession, she grabbed her own offensive rebound and turned it into a trip to the free throw line by drawing contact. Shaw moved well without the ball and found ways to put herself in scoring position throughout the game. She also showed the ability to pile up points in a hurry when she found a rhythm. It was evident that she carries a much larger offensive responsibility during the high school season compared to travel ball and she handled that role well.

This was my first time seeing the young hooper play and I came away impressed. Christyana showed a maturity to her game that stands out for her age. Her active hands led to a steal and she consistently tracked the ball well while competing on the defensive end. In transition, she displayed good speed and played with confidence. What stood out most was her poise and control with the ball. She never looked rushed and made smart decisions throughout the game. She knocked down a three-pointer from the top of the key and also impressed as a passer. Christyana showed a strong understanding of timing and placement on her bounce passes while delivering them with the right force and angle to put teammates in position to succeed. She is a young prospect with a bright future and one worth keeping an eye on moving forward.

Lillian came up with several huge baskets in key moments and helped swing momentum in her team's favor. She showed toughness around the rim by finishing through contact and converting difficult buckets in the paint when the game was on the line. Her size and length were valuable assets on both ends of the floor as she rebounded well and made an impact defensively. Lillian also looked comfortable in pick-and-roll situations where she rolled hard to the basket and gave her guards a reliable target. Playing alongside a talented backcourt, she understood her role and consistently made winning plays. Her ability to deliver in big moments and affect the game in multiple areas made her one of the more impressive post players I watched on Friday.

Jaiden bounced back in a big way against Bishop Kenny this time and played with a ton of heart from start to finish. She shot the ball efficiently and knocked down several big three-pointers including shots from the corner and beyond. Her confidence never wavered and she delivered when her team needed her most. One of the biggest plays of the game came in transition when she finished a tough and-one to energize her team. It was also encouraging to see her build chemistry with the additional help in the backcourt. As those pieces continue to gel, this is a team that has the potential to be very dangerous during the upcoming season and Jaiden will be a major reason why.

Asia immediately caught my attention with her combination of size, mobility, and athleticism. She moves extremely well for her height and has the physical tools that are difficult to teach. Defensively, she even managed to get a hand on a three-point attempt which speaks to both her length and activity level. She showed flashes of skill on the offensive end and looks like a player whose best basketball is still ahead of her. After recently moving from California, she has already picked up three college offers in her first opportunities as a Floridian. With her height, athleticism, and overall upside, Asia is a prospect who should continue to generate attention as coaches get more opportunities to evaluate her.
