Throughout the high school season, we do not get to see much of Damon due to her not being in the IHSA fold. However, between streaming and film, she has not slowed down at all. The smoothness, the aggression, and her ability to create for herself just as well as for others have all helped set her apart. She is running with arguably the best AAU team in Illinois from a prospect standpoint, and if she can stand out with them, that will be a great look for college coaches.

The definition of fast is: moving or capable of moving at high speed. However, I personally think the internet could put Damon as a perfect example of fast! Good luck keeping her from driving to the basket, or going baseline! And she’s a bucket from deep, with handles that were born to dribble a basketball!

Damon’s skillset is way before her time, and her pace and athleticism are key to why she’s still the number one prospect in this class, as most P4 colleges agree. She has an instinct and feel for the game that comes naturally, and not too many prospects at this age can replicate that. Going into summer ball next year, she’ll be a main focus of the prestige example squad, and she’ll be able to show why she’s a true focal point.

Symora was an effective player on both ends for Example Sports Wolfpack 2026 at the PGH Victory Region Finals. She had a big eight-point first half in the semifinals and made some highlight reel plays in the finals. Symora grabbed an offensive rebound and dropped in a floater. She dished a smooth behind-the-back pass to a teammate in transition. Symora reversed the court with a quick between-the-legs dribble, accelerated downhill, absorbed hard contact, and finished the layup off the glass. She blew by a defender with a burst using an inside-out move and scored another tough, contested layup. Symora added a full-speed and one layup in the second half and made unselfish passes to teammates. She gave the team a spark on defense and was an excellent facilitator. Symora has been selected for the All-Tournament Second Team.

Damon has beautiful hang time moves to the basket- and it doesn’t matter if she goes down the lane, baseline- she will find the slightest seam and go! Her defensive pressure is a nightmare for opponents! Relentless on both ends, plays with such great pace! (Below on defense)

Damon just has another gear and feel for this game that a lot of players just don’t have. She plays with an extra bounce in her step, and can make plays with no hesitation. The multiple offers as a sophomore are a stamp on Damons potential and talent level. One of those players that you just simply have to see in person.

Symora Damon is very quick handling the ball and exploding to the basket off of steals or even rebounds. She showed off her range making it count from around the perimeter. She sees the floor well making the long pass up court finding her teammates in stride. She played some tight on ball defense making sure her opponent didn’t have any easy path to the basket.

Easily the No. 1 player in her class. Damon will be playing with Example Academy, an elite prep school in Frankfort, Illinois. This program is known for traveling the country and testing their skills against elite high-school competition, along with a couple matches against top ranked junior college programs. With Symora being able to gain this type of experience, I expect her growth to trend upwards and fast. A no-doubt high-powered freshman in the state.

The Example Program has had number 1 prospects in multiple classes for the past couple of years. Is Symora next in line for that spot? The secured offers speak for themselves and when you watch this kid play you can just tell she’s different than the rest. Aggressive, advanced and confident! A for sure name to remember.
