The talent was on hand at the Park School of Baltimore for another Prep Girls Hoops Circuit event. Players showcasing with their new teams, teams showing their new looks after players left. This was an opportunity to no only for teams to tune up for the remainder of the travel season but for players to showcase their skill in front of the PGH Scouts. Teams from as far out as New York traveled down for the one day event and at the end of the day here are some of the players that really showed out in the 16U and 17U brackets.

I watched Leah reel off multiple straight three pointers. She is one of those players that should shoot every time that she is open regardless of the play. She has good size at around 6'0" and with her height and range she can either shoot over smaller guards or pull post players away from the paint. Either way she was a weapon that any program could use.

They warned me that Eden had been on a mission lately and she didn't disappoint. She was able to zig zag through the defense all the way to the rim on multiple occasions. She had a nice crossover into the finish in transition and showed great elevation on her pull up jumper. Her move of the day, however, was a full stride attack where she stopped and pivoted on the dime sending two defenders out of bounds before stepping into a short floater.

Laila stretched the floor with her shooting. The three the midrange, she didn't miss many shots and probably should have taken many more. She is long and athletic and moved her feet well defensively. Laila's stock rose sharply in the latest rankings update and it was obvious why as we watched her play.

I didn't see Kai at first, perhaps she showed up late but she made her presence felt from her first shot a catch and shoot three from the wing. She was terrific in the open court driving hard for finishes. She made one three while eyeing the scorers table surprising everyone on the court. She rebounded and defended well and was definitely one of the best players in the building.

Naiylah got better and better each game and by the end of the showcase she was dominating the paint. She drove well from the high post and multiple drives slicing across the lane for finishes. She had finishes catching off the cut and as other players got tired she just kept going. Her bread and butter was the rebound putback on the offensive glass, she had a knack for tracking the ball off the miss.
