First July Live Period: Shoe Circuit Players To Keep An Eye On

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">With the first July Live Period tipping off this week, college coaches are back on the road evaluating players who could help their programs in the future. While many 2027 prospects are already figured out for most schools, this live period gives 2028, 2029, and 2030 prospects a great chance to make an impression. Below are a few players who are on major shoe circuits (Nike, Adidas, and Under Armor) that could be suiting up for a big performances over the next couple of days. </h3>    Easily one of the best talents on the Under Armor circuit. Coleman is that prototype guard/wing that shows she has every tool needed to translate to the next level, which is scary considering she hasn't tapped into her full form yet. She's a slasher with and without the ball, can stretch the floor when needed, and on the opposite end, her length and athleticism allow her to guard both the perimeter and paint players at a high level. She's the type of talent who can be the focal point of an offense or play within a role and still stand out more than the star.     This will be Cora's first live period on a circuit program, and coaches will be intrigued by what they see, especially if they're looking to add a player who can impact the game without heavy ball usage. Heinz is the plug in piece you need to keep a defense's head on a swivel while still allowing space to be utilized for ball handlers and rim attackers. She has great length, strong hands, and consistently does a great job of finishing around the rim. Those same skills translate to the defensive end, where she can be your paint blanket if needed.     As an athletic, high energy, top speed guard, there aren't many players who can stay in front of Laila. She's not a one directional speed athlete either. Whether it's attacking angles at full speed or stopping on a dime and quickly taking off again, she's constantly putting defenders in difficult positions. Her speed is what you notice first, then you begin to see her ability as a playmaking scorer. Super talented.     As guards are becoming easier to scout and find, post players who can play both inside and out have become scarce, and Ava finds herself in that category. Depending on the level, her height could work for or against her, but her shot is what will continue to give her leverage over opponents. She puts a lot of work into her jumper, and it's not hard to tell. There's not much hesitation or second guessing when she's catching the ball at an angle to shoot, whether it's from the midrange or beyond.     Benson has maintained the interest around her name, and as she's nowhere near her ceiling, what she does now feels like second nature and comes from a strong belief in the work she's put in. She is a point guard who can hurt you on the drive and beyond the three, but it's her energy and fearless approach that make her play bigger than her stature suggests. There is only time on her side, and as she gets sharper, quicker, and adds more pace to her game, there's no doubt the offers will start rolling in.
