The Sophomore ID Camp is always one of my favorite events because it is strictly about development and seeing what players have added to their game. Watching players come back from year one and show growth in different areas shows us this basketball thing is serious to them. With multiple 5v5 games to evaluate, we also get a good look at who can consistently impact the game through scoring, defense, playmaking, and making the right plays. Below is a quick snapshot of what the players from Team 5 showed us last Sunday.

Matzen played her role well for her team. Without needing to be the main focal point, she played off in the corner and made it count when the ball was swung her way. She stayed ready throughout possessions and showed that she could impact the offense without needing a ton of touches, especially when opportunities came within the flow of the game.

The length alone is a huge separator for Avery, and when she's on the move in the full court, she knows how to establish herself in the paint on the offensive end. A solid ball handler as well.

One of the more athletic players in the building, Moore is full of energy, and it shows on both ends. She can create her own shot, whether it comes off the ball or off her own dribble. She looks comfortable getting into her shot from different spots on the floor, and once she gets a clean look, she's confident enough to take it.
