With social media and everything surrounding the game, one may get frustrated, especially when they know all the work they have put into doing something they love. I know it sounds cliché, but trusting the process and just focusing on your own capabilities is a must-do. I mentioned in my last article about everyone being on their own journey, and that rings so true. When it comes to the recruiting game, there are so many factors beyond one's control. You must trust the process and control what you can control. Focus on being the best version of yourself, and your time will come.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When I think about this ‘27 class, I see a good crop of kids who have put in the work. They have helped propel their ball clubs. Some may have ascended their squad deep into postseason. Some may have made their teams/ program a little more respectable. One thing is for sure: they have and will leave the program better than they found it. As I look at the landscape of the ‘27 class, one may not appreciate the little things this class has done. I mean, taking a step back and seeing how intricate the ‘27s have been, it's pretty remarkable how they have shined brightly over the years. It's about the moments. Not everyone is a household name or gets a bunch of accolades. One thing I will say about this class: many have shown up, stepped up, and showed out especially when the time is needed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I can go on and on about ‘27s, but I just wanted to mention a few who may have been overlooked in the past. I wanted to highlight their toughness, abilities, and resilience in contributing to their team and being a trustworthy ballplayer. She is a three-level scoring threat who can hit shots from all over the court. She can create for herself and attack the paint, or come off screens showcasing her quick release and swish from deep. Very talented kid who has been an important piece to the Lady Devilettes program. She brings it every time she steps onto the floor. This season, look for her to be right at the forefront as LHS makes a run this upcoming year. A tough defender, she is going to cause havoc for opponents. Has an infectious attitude that makes those around her better. A leader. She's a team player who hunts great shots. One who is hard to take off the floor, she does the little things right and contributes in various ways. She's a go-getter. A winner. One who will be a solid scoring option for her club. A solid defender, a leader, one who is special both on and off the court. The Lady Eagles will be looking to make noise in their district. You better believe MJ will be right at the forefront, leading the charge.
