2028 Prospects I Want on The Expo Stage

The deeper I get into Michigan's 2028 class, the more prospects there are who I would love to see take the floor at The Expo on Saturday, September 26th in Grand Rapids. This class has already shown plenty of talent, with players making their mark throughout the high school season, travel ball, team camps, and elite camps. The Expo gives them another chance to compete in a talented field while getting valuable exposure in front of college coaches. I've already highlighted several 2028s I would like to see in the gym, and I'm not finished yet. Here is another group of prospects I would love to see step onto The Expo stage. Brooklyn is a 2028 post prospect I would love to see at The Expo because of the combination of size, athleticism, and versatility she brings to the floor. At 6-foot-plus, she has the length and strong frame to make an impact inside, but her game extends well beyond the paint. Brooklyn is comfortable handling the ball in the open court and can step outside and knock down threes with confidence. Around the basket, she has strong hands, good footwork, and the ability to finish with either hand, while also showing strength finishing off two feet. Defensively, she provides rim protection with her shot-blocking ability and gives opponents another challenge when attacking the paint. Brooklyn has a high ceiling with a skill set that continues to develop, and I would love to see her put that versatility on display in front of the college coaches at The Expo.     Mayrese is a 2028 point guard I would love to see at The Expo because of the combination of skill, basketball IQ, and energy she brings to the position. She has excellent control with the ball in her hands and can play with speed while still making good decisions. Mayrese is a confident perimeter shooter who can knock down threes, but she also has the ability to create off the bounce. She uses quick changes of direction to open driving lanes, can get downhill in a hurry, and has shown a reliable pull-up game when defenders take away the rim. Mayrese also plays with a high motor, getting involved on the offensive glass and finding ways to create extra scoring opportunities. With her ball handling, shooting, ability to attack, and understanding of the game, Mayrese has the tools of a next-level point guard, and I would love to see her showcase them in front of the college coaches at The Expo.     Mia is a 2028 center I would love to see at The Expo because of her size, versatility, and potential at the next level. She has a strong frame, good length, and impressive mobility for her size, giving her the tools to impact the game in several areas. Offensively, Mia can step away from the basket and knock down threes, while also being effective as a screener and option in the pick-and-roll. On the defensive end, she does a great job battling for position, denying post-entry passes, and protecting the rim. Mia is also active on the glass and uses her size and strength to make an impact as a rebounder. With her inside-out skill set and ability to contribute on both ends, Mia is a 2028 prospect whose recruitment should continue to grow, and I would love to see her put her game on display in front of the college coaches at The Expo.     Brooke is a 2028 guard I would love to see at The Expo because of the strength, athleticism, and versatility she brings to the floor. She is a good three-point shooter who can stretch the defense, but she is just as effective attacking the basket, where she can play through contact and use good footwork to finish around the rim. Brooke also rebounds extremely well from the guard position, consistently getting involved on the offensive glass and creating second-chance opportunities. She is comfortable handling the ball in the open floor and has shown she can grab a defensive rebound, push it herself, and go coast-to-coast for a finish. Defensively, Brooke uses her athleticism and physicality to make an impact, including coming up with blocks from the guard spot. Her ability to shoot from the perimeter, attack the rim, rebound, handle the ball, and contribute defensively gives her a versatile skill set, and I would love to see Brooke put it all on display in front of the college coaches at The Expo.     Delaney, who played on Taryn and Higgins' team, was selected as the team's MVP after a standout performance at the Northwood Elite Camp. She caught fire during the 3-on-3 action, knocking down four three-pointers to help keep her team on the winning court. Her shooting continued to be a major part of her impact in the 5-on-5 action, where she connected on several more shots from beyond the arc. Delaney also showcased her athleticism on the defensive end with an impressive block and a tremendous hustle play, chasing down an opponent in transition and tipping the ball away to prevent an easy basket. Her ability to score from the perimeter, defend, and make winning plays made for an excellent showing.
