2028 Prospects Who Would Add to The Expo

The Class of 2028 is loaded with talent across Michigan, and there are still plenty of prospects I would love to see added to The Expo on Saturday, September 26th in Grand Rapids. With college coaches expected to be in the gym, this is a great opportunity for players to compete against quality competition while putting their skill sets on display. I already highlighted one group of 2028s I would love to see at the event, but my list certainly didn't stop there. This next group brings a variety of skills, athleticism, and versatility to the floor, and each would add something different to an already talented Expo field. She has the size, athleticism, and skill set to impact the game as a guard, wing, or forward, giving her the ability to create mismatches in a variety of ways. Lauer can stretch the floor from behind the arc, handle the ball in the open court, and create for teammates, while also using her strength to finish through contact around the basket. She brings that same impact to the defensive end, where her active hands help disrupt passes and challenge shots, and she competes hard on the glass. Her ability to contribute in so many areas has already helped her earn Division II offers. Lauer has established herself as one of the top prospects in Michigan's 2028 class, and adding her to The Expo would bring another high-level, versatile player into an already talented field.     Liz is a 2028 post player I would love to see at The Expo because of the presence she can bring to the paint on both ends of the floor. She does a great job establishing position and sealing her defender, giving her teammates a strong target around the basket. Liz is active on the glass and consistently works to secure rebounds on both ends, while also providing rim protection with her ability to block and alter shots. Offensively, she has soft hands and can finish with either hand around the rim, giving her different options when she gets the ball inside. Her combination of size, rebounding, interior scoring, and defensive presence would add another dimension to the talent at The Expo, and I would love to see her get the opportunity to compete in front of the college coaches in attendance.     Layla is a 2028 guard I would love to see at The Expo because of the scoring ability and two-way play she brings to the floor. She can heat up quickly from behind the arc, showing the ability to knock down shots in bunches and make defenses pay from the perimeter. Layla is also effective when attacking the lane, where she plays under control, comes to two feet, and makes good decisions when the defense collapses. On the other end, she has shown she can create offense with her defense, turning a steal into a coast-to-coast bucket while also using her athleticism to come up with a block on the perimeter. Her combination of shooting, decision-making, and ability to make plays on both ends would add even more talent to The Expo, and I would love to see her compete in front of the college coaches in attendance.     Kenley is a 2028 guard I would love to see at The Expo because of the confidence, physicality, and versatility she brings to the floor. She has continued to elevate her game and has proven herself against strong competition at multiple events. Kenley can really shoot the basketball, knocking down threes from different spots on the floor and extending her range well beyond the arc. She is equally effective attacking off the bounce, using her strength and handle to create space and get downhill. Around the basket, her footwork stands out, as she can pivot and maneuver through traffic before finishing with either hand. Kenley also works the offensive glass and uses her strong frame to create additional scoring opportunities. Defensively, she competes and has the athleticism to make plays on the ball. With her ability to shoot, attack, rebound, and score in multiple ways, it is easy to see why her recruitment continues to grow. Kenley would add another high-level 2028 prospect to The Expo, and I would love to see her showcase her complete game in front of the college coaches in attendance.     Maria is a 2028 point guard I would love to see at The Expo because of the high-level two-way impact she brings to the floor. She is an athletic lead guard with a non-stop motor, quickness, and the toughness to compete every possession. Defensively, Maria can be a difference-maker with her lateral quickness, ability to contain drives, and awareness away from the ball. Offensively, she uses a shifty handle and explosive first step to create driving lanes and get downhill, where she has the creativity to finish in traffic and use either hand around the basket. Maria also plays with a high basketball IQ and brings the qualities you want from a point guard on both ends of the floor. She has continued to raise her stock with her play, and I would love to see her bring that energy, defense, and playmaking to The Expo in front of the college coaches in attendance.
