PGH Expo Preview: Senior Prospects Ready to Go Pt 1

The Prep Girls Hoops Expo has 90+ 2027-2029 prospects signed up to compete in Grand Rapids on September 26th. College coaches and scouts will be on the sidelines evaluating prospects throughout the day for rankings and recruiting purposes. Looking at the list, I'm excited to see prospects who will be future difference-makers for college programs at the D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO levels. New names will be making an appearance under the spotlight for the first time. Every player in attendance has an opportunity to make a lasting impression, and all attendees are included in our post-event evaluations. Here are several 2027 prospects who are signed up to attend the PGH Expo, and they all have what it takes to be a contributing member of a college program:    Madisyn was a point guard to fear in the Flint area at Hamady before heading south to Texas for her junior season. She's back in the mitten and looks ready to play a pivotal role in the backcourt for a Flint Powers Catholic team that won the SVL and made a trip to the D2 State Semifinals in March. Madisyn has been a Top Performer at the PGH Freshman Showcase and The Expo. Her ruthless ball pressure, shifty ball-handling, quick hands on defense, facilitating, assertive drives to the basket, and perimeter jumper will be difficult to match up against. Madisyn is a senior who will draw a lot of eyes at the PGH Expo. She holds offers from Detroit Mercy, Wayne State, SC4, and Wayne C.C.     Zoe has versatility, physical strength, and solid length as a guard-small forward that will translate to the next level. She attacks downhill off the dribble, finishes well at the rim in contested situations off two feet, holds her ground, contributes as a rebounder, and can step outside to hit perimeter jumpers. Zoe was productive at The Expo last year, and I expect that to be the case once again on Saturday. Zoe holds offers from Adrian College and Oakland CC heading into the event.     Carley is an athletic, scrappy, and skilled two-way guard who has the potential to make a big splash at The Expo. She's disruptive on defense, has good control with the ball in her hands, can shoot the three, slash to the hoop, and facilitate. Her uptempo style and comprehensive skill set will be fun to watch. Carley enters The Expo with an offer from Grace Christian University, and I won't be surprised to see her pick up additional interest following the event.     Sophie is one of those multidimensional guards who can set the tone physically, attack downhill, finish in traffic, rebound, and make an impact on the defensive end. She competes with a high motor, is very aggressive, and scores through contact. Sophie should have more offers/interest at this point in the recruiting game, and I'm looking forward to her turning the heads of college coaches at The Expo on Saturday.     Many coaches at the next level might not know much about Maddy yet. I've had the opportunity to see her play many times over the past few years with [program_tooltip program_id='714556' first='TC' last='Elite'] and Fenton. Her presence in the backcourt as a junior helped the Tigers win a Flint Metro League Stripes Division Championship. As a point guard, she checks the boxes you look for as a coach: competitive, gritty, poised ball-handler, effective as a facilitator, burst off the dribble, accurate pull-up jumper, tough finisher in traffic, a threat from beyond the arc, tough defensively, and a team-oriented player.
