The 2026 Expo brought together more than 100 prospects for a full day of basketball in front of PGH scouts and college coaches from the D2, D3, NAIA, NCCAA, and JUCO levels. Players competed throughout four hours of predetermined 3v3 and 5v5 matchups, giving them multiple opportunities to showcase different parts of their game. One of the things that makes Prep Girls Hoops showcases unique is that every player receives post-event coverage, along with social media exposure and evaluations from the event. Players also had the opportunity to compete alongside talented high school players and be coached by different college coaches throughout the day. My coverage focused primarily on Teams 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9. Here is a look at what I saw from the players competing on Team 3 at The Expo:

Brynnley, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, showed her ability to impact the game from the perimeter, in transition, and defensively. She was a consistent shooting threat from behind the arc, knocking down threes from different spots on the floor and showing that the defense had to account for her away from the basket. Brynnley also ran the floor well in transition, getting ahead of the defense and putting herself in position to finish for a bucket. On the defensive end, she provided some rim protection with multiple blocks, using her timing to challenge shots around the basket. Her ability to stretch the floor offensively while also making plays defensively gave her a nice presence on both ends.

Braelyn, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, used her length and physical tools to make an impact throughout the day. During 3v3 play, her length was especially effective defensively, as she got her hands into passing lanes and came away with multiple deflections that disrupted possessions. In 5v5 action, Braelyn showed her ability to attack the basket, getting downhill and absorbing contact on her way to the rim. She used a strong rip-through to get past her defender and convert for a bucket, while also showing her willingness to run the floor hard in transition and finish on the other end. Braelyn was active on the glass as well, rebounding consistently and tracking down offensive boards to give her team additional possessions.

Elynne, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, impressed with her ability to see the floor and create for others. Her passing ability is at a next-level standard, as she consistently played with her eyes up, recognized openings in the defense, and delivered the ball where her teammates could make a play. She paired that court vision with a strong handle, giving her the ability to control the ball while surveying the floor. Elynne also showed she could make defenses pay from the perimeter by knocking down shots from behind the arc. When she secured defensive rebounds, she immediately looked to push the pace with her head up, allowing her to read the floor and get her team into transition quickly.

Karissa, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, brought a nice combination of effort around the basket and activity on the glass. She found an opening in the defense with a well-timed slash and converted at the rim, while also showing the strength and body control to absorb contact and still finish. Karissa competed on the boards throughout the day, pulling down rebounds on both the offensive and defensive ends and staying involved around the paint. She also showed awareness in the open floor, getting her eyes up and delivering a well-placed pass to a teammate in transition.

Aubrey, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, showed good control with the ball in her hands and the ability to work her way through the defense. She used her handle to create opportunities and showed good body control when finishing in traffic around the basket. One of her better sequences came on a well-executed give-and-go, where Aubrey initiated the action with the pass, immediately cut into open space, got the ball back, and finished the play at the rim.

Aleena, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, showed good awareness and activity on both ends of the floor. She made a nice read in the pick-and-roll, delivering a well-timed pass to her teammate after the defense committed. Defensively, Aleena anticipated passes well and looked to jump passing lanes to disrupt the offense. She also ran the floor hard in transition and showed good awareness on the finish, keeping the ball extended away from the defender to avoid the block and convert at the rim. In the half court, Aleena recognized an open driving lane and attacked it, getting all the way to the basket for the score.

Karsyn, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, showed a strong understanding of the game, especially on the defensive end. During 3v3 play, she communicated consistently with her teammates while also showing her offensive versatility. She attacked downhill off the dribble and stretched the defense by knocking down a three from the top of the key. In 5v5 action, Karsyn continued to make an impact defensively. She provided excellent backside help when the ball went into the post, reading the play and rotating at the right time to come away with a steal. Her communication, positioning, and awareness made her a reliable defender throughout the day.

Breslyn, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, gave her team a strong presence in the post. She consistently worked to establish position inside, using her body to seal defenders and create a target around the basket. Once she caught the ball, Breslyn showed good footwork and the ability to maneuver around the rim. She was also active on the glass, competing for rebounds and staying involved in possessions. One sequence showed another dimension to her game when she came away with a steal and took it coast-to-coast herself, putting the ball on the floor all the way to the basket and finishing through contact.

Lauren, playing on Team 3 at The Expo, was one of my top performers on the day with the versatility she displayed on both ends of the floor. The long, athletic guard was especially effective turning defense into offense, grabbing numerous defensive rebounds and taking them coast-to-coast to immediately put pressure on the defense. In the half court, she used a strong baseline rip to get past her defender and finished nicely at the rim. Lauren also stretched the floor with her shooting, knocking down multiple threes and showing that her range extends well beyond the arc. Her length and athleticism translated to the defensive end as well, where she recorded multiple blocks, including an impressive block on the perimeter. Lauren can handle the ball, sees the floor well, and is a willing passer who consistently looks to create opportunities for her teammates. Her ability to rebound, initiate the break, score at multiple levels, facilitate, and make plays defensively made her one of the more complete guards I watched at The Expo.
