Standout Lead Guards from the Expo

Taking a look at top lead guards from this past weekend's Oklahoma Expo. A two are very familiar names, while three are rising players who caught the eye with outstanding performances.    One of the best true point guards and on the ball defenders in Oklahoma's Class of 2029. She brought those aspects to the camp with outstanding energy on both ends of the court. Impressively her shot was dialed in during 5 on 5 play. Given her quickness off the bounce, defenders would go under screens or leave space when covering 1 on 1. Which Johnson would then cash out from mid-range or beyond the arc. Along with her textbook scoring, she consistently made the right reads and unselfish passes. 2029 is deep at the top but Johnson issued a loud reminder to not sleep on the Carl Albert leader as one of the top rising prospects in Oklahoma.     After this summer, Miles might have as many offers as there were campers in attendance. Well, that's a bit of a hyperbole, as there ended up being 80 campers and Miles is probably "only" around 30-40 offers. Anyway, she was her usually sterling self.   Jumper has continued to improve as she's unafraid to pull up in transition. Which her outstanding instincts and athleticism led to many steals and deflections. Despite her ability to go get 40, she's about as unselfish as they come as a creator. With outstanding vision for flashy transition dimes and general "play the right way" mentality. A special prospect who continues to get better.     A quick and tough lead guard, Hill was probably the most pleasant surprise at the camp. She routinely gave opponents fit off the bounce in 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 play. And when she got downhill, she didn't just look to score. She was a true set up woman, firing passes all over the court and creating for others. The 918 standout has excellent floor vision, including longer passes in full court. While her jumper was off, she had the quickness and fluidity to routinely create space. Although her form is solid, so hopefully it was just an off game. Needless to say she's a competitive and athletic lead guard who needs to be on more college coaches' radars.     Sullivan brought the energy at the camp, as she has a contagious playing style. She's always vocal with encouragement and on the court communication. Quick athlete, with a good first step and speedy in transition. The lefty often attacks the rim with success. If Sunday was any indication, this is a potential breakout junior campaign for Sullivan.     Belk is a beyond the box score hero. As while she does rack up a fair amount of assists, chases down long rebounds, forces steals, her impact goes beyond that. She's a drink stirrer and unselfish, often creating hockey assists and making the right passes. Her finishing and shooting felt improved from last year. Making her one of the more well rounded guards in attendance. Previously had Belk tagged as an "X Factor" for a potential 4A State Tournament team, however she could be positioned to star in her own right.
