Minot maintains a quality core of athletes and Ava is going to be right in the mix for varsity minutes. She plays tenacious defense and is one of the better on-ball defenders I have watched play. She puts pressure on the offense and defends without fouling, making it difficult for opponents to get into their offense. She is an excellent size for a college guard, standing at a lengthy 5'11. Kinley can defend just as well as she can score the ball. The Cougars love to press and push the pace which translates to a ton of quick shots and possessions. She is good at doing the 'run-and-jump' man-to-man press where a secondary defender leaves their girl to come and trap the ball while everyone else gets into intercept mode. Her effort in keeping space on offense and playing hard-nosed defense has Central McLean coming into the season with high expectations.

Jada has a lot of potential as a college recruit and has the genes to go along with that potential. Jurnee Wehrman

State: North Dakota
School: Divide County
Club: Minnesota Stars

Jurnee is a fantastic point guard who makes everyone around her better. She can put pressure on defenses in multiple ways with her scoring and passing ability. She is a deadly threat from three, a tough driver to the basket, and an exceptional passer. She shoots the three with a really nice lift and follow-through. If she is driving and gets cut off by a secondary defender, she can pull out a nice floater from her toolbox and score in that fashion. She finds her open teamamtes for easy looks and doesn't turn the ball over often. Lastly, Wehrman is a terrific on-ball defender.
