The OK Green should be one of the most interesting conferences to follow this winter with a ton of talent returning from a season ago. Muskegon went a perfect 10-0 in conference play to capture the OK Green championship, while Caledonia and Byron Center finished tied for second. Although the conference graduated a few big names, only four First Team All-Conference selections moved on, leaving the OK Green with plenty of proven talent heading into the 2026-27 season. Several teams return players who have already established themselves as some of the best in the area, along with younger talent ready to take another step forward. With so many familiar names back and multiple teams looking to challenge at the top of the standings, the OK Green has the potential to be a very competitive conference this winter. Here's a look at some of the returning talent to know heading into the season.

Myla returns for her junior season at Caledonia after earning First Team All-Conference honors and helping the Fighting Scots finish tied for second in the OK Green last season. I had the opportunity to watch Myla during the summer at the Cornerstone Elite Camp, where she showed the ability to create offense in several different ways. Her explosive first step allows her to beat defenders off the dribble and consistently get into the paint, where she uses good body control and creativity to finish around the basket. Myla is also capable of creating opportunities for others, showing good court vision when drawing additional defenders and finding open teammates. Her quickness, ability to change direction and willingness to attack make her difficult to contain with the ball in her hands. After earning First Team honors as an underclassman, Myla enters her junior season as an important returning piece for a Caledonia team looking to compete at the top of the OK Green.

Brooklyn gives Caledonia another talented junior guard returning after earning First Team All-Conference honors last season. She put together a strong spring and summer with MBA UA Rise 16U, showing the offensive versatility that makes her a difficult matchup in the backcourt. Brooklyn has a crafty handle and the quickness to accelerate through gaps off the dribble, allowing her to get into the paint and create scoring opportunities. Around the basket, she has good touch in traffic and can go to her floater when needed. She also provides a perimeter threat with a smooth three-point shot, giving her multiple ways to score depending on how the defense plays her. Her play has already started generating college attention, as she picked up her first Division II offer from Roosevelt in the spring. With Brooklyn and Myla both returning after earning First Team honors, Caledonia brings an experienced and talented backcourt into the 2026-27 season.

Brynn returns for her senior season at Jenison after earning First Team All-Conference honors in the OK Green last year. The long guard gives the Wildcats a proven scoring option who can make an impact from multiple levels. Brynn is a consistent threat from behind the arc, but she can also put the ball on the floor and attack the basket, giving defenders more than just her perimeter shot to worry about. Her length is an asset on the defensive end as well, where she stays active and can disrupt the flow of opposing offenses. Brynn also competes on the glass and brings the type of effort that allows her to contribute beyond her scoring. Her play has earned her the opportunity to continue her basketball career at the next level, as she committed to Saginaw Valley State University in September. With her experience, shooting and two-way ability, Brynn should once again be one of the top players in the OK Green during her senior season.

Dy'Nasti returns for her senior season at Muskegon after earning First Team All-Conference honors and helping the Big Reds go a perfect 10-0 in the OK Green last season. She provides a consistent interior presence and does an excellent job establishing position around the basket. Dy'Nasti uses her strength to seal defenders, while her good hands and footwork allow her to take advantage once the ball gets inside. She can finish through traffic and is comfortable using either hand around the rim, making her difficult to contain in the paint. She also makes a major impact on the glass, rebounding at a high level on both ends and creating extra opportunities for her team. I had the chance to watch her again during the MBA Fall League, and she continued to show why she is the type of player who can consistently produce a double-double. Dy'Nasti has since made her college decision, committing to Florida Gulf Coast, and should once again be a major piece for Muskegon this winter.

Raquel returns for her junior season at Reeths-Puffer after earning First Team All-Conference honors last year, and she enters the winter as one of the top players in the OK Green. She recently added to an already impressive résumé by earning MVP honors at the PGH Michigan Expo. Raquel's athleticism, length and versatility allow her to impact the game all over the floor and play multiple positions. Offensively, she can use her footwork and touch to score in the paint, step away from the basket and knock down shots, or use her explosiveness to attack off the dribble and create in transition. She can be just as impactful defensively, where her length and athleticism make her an impressive shot blocker and disruptive presence. Raquel has established herself as one of the top prospects in Michigan's 2028 class, and with two high school seasons still ahead of her, she will be an exciting player to follow as Reeths-Puffer competes in a talented OK Green.
