Running with Better Built Basketball over the spring and summer did wonders for the backcourt star from 5A Mauldin as she secured a pair of in-state offers from Newberry and Erskine. Ligon was part of a Mavericks team that earned a trip to the 5A Division 1 Upper State finals last season. Ligon has more experience than the average sophomore considering she first played at the varsity level as a seventh grader. She was one of three freshmen from last season's Mavericks team and competed in 26 games in a Mauldin uniform. Ligon averaged 7.3 points, 3.6 assists, 2.6 steals and 2.6 rebounds per game.
