Until then, showcase events fill the void until that initial tip off occurs in November.

Throughout South Carolina, one of the more anticipated showcase events is the Elite Camp that is put together every year by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association (SCBCA). It takes place on an annual basis every October at the North Charleston Athletic Center.

We have spotlighted many of the middle school, freshman, sophomore and junior talents that will be in the Lowcountry this weekend. Concluding our pre-Elite Camp coverage is a look at the seniors that will be present for one final time.

Two months ago, Foley was one of the first from this year's senior class to announce her collegiate commitment. Once the 2026-27 season concludes with 5A Ashley Ridge, Foley will transition to the Jacksonville area at Flagler College. Her travel basketball career is already in the books and she spent said final grassroots campaign wearing the FBC Reign 2027 uniform on the Under Armour circuit. Foley guided the Swamp Foxes to a region championship last season as well as a 5A Division 1 Lower State semifinal berth. Foley averaged 12.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest last season.

Brown was one of the many talents that were on hand in Rock Hill at the beginning of last month at the Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Expo. Recently, the star combo guard from 4A Beaufort secured an in-state collegiate offer courtesy of Voorhees. The 2026-27 season for Brown brings to a close a storied career that included a stint at another 4A school in Bluffton. She ran her final grassroots season with Team Essence South Georgia and led the Eagles to a 4A Lower State semifinal berth last season. A multi-sport athlete who also plays soccer, she averaged 15.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and three steals per game in 2025-26.

Cooke was another of the seniors that made her presence known at last month's Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Expo. Following a pair of seasons where her Airport team played amongst the 4A ranks, Cooke and her Eagles will be back in the 3A realm once play commences in November. Cooke balances out a busy athletic schedule as she also participates in track and field as well as cheer. The [program_tooltip program_id='1320709' first='SC' last='Fever'] product secured an offer from Truman College in Chicago back during the summer. She played in 22 of Airport's 24 games last season while averaging 10 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.3 assists per matchup.

The list of schools that have extended offers in the direction of the veteran frontcourt star for 5A Dutch Fork include Anderson, Wingate, Claflin and Converse. Following her final travel season with [program_tooltip program_id='713550' first='Palmetto' last='76ers'], Crumlin is looking ahead to the 2026-27 season with a Silver Foxes team that should once again be among the teams to beat in the 5A field. Last season's Dutch Fork team earned a berth to the 5A Division 1 Upper State semifinals. Crumlin competed in 23 of the Silver Foxes' 24 games last season while averaging a double-double of 13.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per matchup plus 2.5 blocks and 2.3 steals per game.

Coach Candace Bush's Dutch Fork team was one of the winners of transfer season as evidenced by the presence of this veteran backcourt star who joined the Silver Foxes from Irmo. Livingston was the first of the state's 2027 class to announce her commitment as she will remain in-state to play at Anderson. She nearly averaged a double-double of 16.8 points, 9.1 rebounds per game plus 6.6 assists and 3.7 steals per contest. Livingston saw playing time in 17 of the Yellow Jackets' 27 games last season and was one of four 2027s on last season's Irmo bunch. She also was one of four team co-captains.

The upcoming weekend will be a busy one for the star big from 4A South Pointe. In addition to participating in this weekend's SCBCA Elite Camp, she will also be making her collegiate commitment announcement on Sunday. Cunningham will be one of five from the Stallions on hand at the North Charleston Athletic Center and has received a litany of Division I offers throughout her career. She averaged a double-double of 20.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game last season plus 2.7 steals per matchup. The all-time leading scorer in the history of South Pointe's program, Cunningham is looking ahead to a 2026-27 season where South Pointe will likely be one of the teams to beat once again among the 4A ranks.

Grant is another Lowcountry prospect that will not have far to travel to arrive at the North Charleston Athletic Center. She still put together solid numbers for 5A Summerville even if the Green Wave did not have a season indicative of previous Summerville assemblings during the Calvin Davis era. Grant played in all 24 games last season in Summerville green and gold while nearly averaging a double-double of 10.3 rebounds (a team-leading statistic), 9.1 points and 1.8 steals per game. She was one of four from the class of 2027 on last season's Green Wave team. Summerville is a program in transition with Tyler Clark taking over the coaching duties in Davis' stead.

Giammalva also proudly sports green and gold during the high school season – the green and gold of Myrtle Beach, that is. She will be one of three Seahawks that will be on hand at this year's SCBCA Elite Camp. The Seahawks have been known to be a 4A team but spent the last couple of seasons in the 5A (Division 2) ranks in an all-Horry County region. Giammalva helped Myrtle Beach to an 11-win season in 2025-26 plus a tournament berth after getting in the win column on only three occasions in 2024-25. The Seahawks can be expected to continue that positive trajectory between being a winner of transfer season and a returning Giammalva.

The initial half of the fall athletic schedule for Murray is taken up by volleyball. It will not be long before basketball receives the lion's share (or should we say the Tiger's share) of Murray's attention. Murray recently played her final AAU campaign with [program_tooltip program_id='713550' first='Palmetto' last='76ers'] and has a number of offers to mull over – including those from Elon, East Carolina and Johnson C. Smith. Murray guided her 4A Wilson assembling to a solid 20-5 season in 2025-26. She averaged 13.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.9 steals per contest under the tutelage of coach Ki'Ari Cain – and on a new Tigers court to boot. Murray was one of only two from the class of 2027 on last season's Tigers squad.

The Mohawks of 1A Division 2 Bethune-Bowman will have representation at this year's SCBCA Elite Camp in the form of Pelzer. She has competed in multiple sports throughout her athletic career as she has tried her hand at volleyball, soccer and track in addition to her many basketball accolades. Pelzer led her Mohawks to a second-place finish in its region last season only trailing the juggernaut that is Military Magnet. She averaged 9.8 points per game as she competed in 20 of Bethune-Bowman's 27 contests last season. The 5-foot-1 Bethune-Bowman backcourt beast was the lone 2027 on last season's Mohawks assembling.

Over the years, Shaw has secured offers from UNC-Pembroke and USC-Salkehatchie. Francis Marion also extended an offer in Shaw's direction and she secured her latest offer back in late August from SC State. Her travel career includes stints with One Force and FBC Bouncenation and is preparing for her senior season at Kingstree. Reclassification had the Blazers dropping from 2A to the 1A Division 1 realm. Shaw was one of only three from the class of 2027 on last season's Blazers team. She averaged a double-double of 19.8 points and 11 rebounds plus five assists and 4.7 steals as she played in all 24 of Kingstree's matchups in 2025-26.

Hobson is another multi-sport athlete who has competed in track and field in addition to what she gets done basketball-wise. She has also secured in-state collegiate offers in both athletic disciplines. Back in August, Hobson landed an offer from Voorhees for basketball and landed a track offer from Spartanburg Methodist. She thrives as a wing that has played at the high school varsity level since she was a middle schooler. Hobson averaged 9.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.7 steals and 2.4 assists for a Lugoff-Elgin team that had a banner first season of the Dominique Thompson era. The Demons earned a win in the first round of the 5A Division 2 tournament against St. James and nearly defeated Chapin in the second round. Hobson and her Lugoff-Elgin team are moving back to the 4A ranks beginning with this season.

Weston also plays for a team that was affected by the latest reclassification carousel. After a pair of seasons in the 4A ranks, Weston's Seneca squad will head back to 3A play beginning with the 2026-27 season. Weston is a multi-sport athlete who also has excelled in track alongside her basketball achievements. That track excellence also earned her an in-state offer courtesy of Erskine. Weston competed in her final AAU season with FBC United We Trust which played on the Under Armour circuit.
