Team Previews- Fairland

Head Coach Jon Buchanan and the Fairland Dragons know how to produce players in their neck of the woods! And it starts at a young age, working on basic fundamentals! This is one of many reasons why they have success year after year- and the players buy into the system! While the dragons graduated some outstanding veterans including Bailey Russell and Addison Godby, the team continues to reload with talent and hungry athletes ready to continue the rich tradition, setting their eyes on a trip to Dayton in March! Let's take a look at some key players!

Russell gained much experience last season as a freshman, and contributed in all categories with just under 7 PPG, 2.6 REB, 1.6 STL, and 1.5 AST per game. It's in her DNA to score from downtown! I love her speed which compliments pushing the rock in transition, as well as pressuring the ball on defense!

Donahue has such a high ceiling! She also played key minutes last season as a freshman and is capable of scoring from outside, or posting on the block. Her length, speed, and athleticism gives such an advantage against opponents- she can easily be a double-double stat machine!

I love Zoey's intensity! She plays with zero fear, and the pressure she provides on defense made me smile ear to ear the moment I watched her play over the summer. Loves to distribute the ball, and confident with her shot! Keep your eye on this one!

Stella provides light feet, ball handling, leadership, and wise decision making skills for Fairland. She's one that is more than capable of knocking down 3's, fights for rebounds, and finds paths to the basket by either dishing or scoring it herself. (Featured Photo)

Miller's relentless defense causes turnovers- and this fuels her game! She finds ways to rattle the ball through the net, and has no problem playing aggressive on both ends of the court!
