HYPE Athletics Fall League Recap Pt 2

The rainy weather outside was frightful, but the courts were quite delightful. She defended forwards very well inside, moving her feet to block shots without fouling. McKinsey battled for offensive rebounds, got fouled, and sank both free throws. McKinsey attacked downhill from the wing to score a contested layup with a soft touch off the glass. McKinsey showed off her footwork, combining a quick jab with a drop-step move to score a fadeaway jumper off the glass. Devyn used a hesitation move to freeze her defender, then blew by to score an and-one layup. She finished off two at the rim, communicated with teammates, and distributed assists. She scored an incredibly tough angled left-handed layup off two feet over her defender and dribbled downhill with a burst to the basket to score another layup. Brooklyn won the battle for an offensive rebound to score a putback at the rim and steamrolled a defender on a strong dribble to the basket. She knocked down multiple clutch free throws with good form, pressured opposing ball-handlers, and dribbled her way through the full-court press. Cherish used a fantastic pivot dribble to gain the edge and convert a contested layup.
