Tremendous 24 Standouts Part 1

On October 12TH I attended the Tremendous 24 Team Showcase presented by GC3 Hoops. The event was held at Sandra Day O'Connor High School and had quality teams and players from throughout the state.   Here are some of the standouts that I saw:    The freshman showed that she will make an immediate impact for the Lady Tigers with her mature feel for the game and poise. She handled defensive pressure well with her good ball handling ability and also showed a good-looking perimeter shot.     Medina showed why she is quietly becoming a force to be reckoned with. She played with excellent pace and wasn't easily bothered. She played with a high IQ and knew when to shoot and when to pass. She could score more if she wanted but is always looking to make the right play.     Izzy was out there playing her normal no-nonsense game. She was tough on both ends of the court. On offense she was setting up her teammates for good looks at the basket while still being aggressive herself. On defense she played tight on the ball defense, pestering opposing ball handlers.     Freeman and her quickness was on full display during the event. The lefty is so shifty that defenders did not know what to do while guarding her. Despite her being a smaller guard she rebounded very well using her athletic ability.     Noelle continued her recent excellent play. Athletically there's not many on her level in the state and that enabled her to get any shot that she wanted to. She also rebounded well often getting it and pushing it up court.     Woodberry showed why she is one of the better rising juniors in the state. She showed the ability to run the point while still being able to maintain her own offense. She got out in the open court, finished well and had some nice assists.
