St. Mary's traveled to Baltimore to take on the IAAM's top team in St. Frances Academy. The number one rated Panthers have been on top of their game to start the season, and they were ready for all of the challenges St. Mary's threw at them. It looked like St. Frances would run away in this one several times, but St. Mary's kept fighting back and kept it close before ultimately falling 58-49. Here are the standout players from this one.

[player_tooltip player_id='433799' first='Bailey' last='Harris'], St. Mary's, 2026, Guard

Bailey has been putting up monster numbers so far this season, and she had to do it again to give her team a chance. In the first half she poured in 23 of her teams 27 points to keep them within striking distance. She used a mix of power moves to the basket, long range threes and off ball cuts to rack up the points. She finished with a game high 36 and had a counter for almost everything thrown at her. In addition to the scoring outburst, she crashed the boards hard, boxed out bigger players and played solid defense. This was an excellent all-around performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='332124' first='Amora' last='Alston'], St. Frances, 2025, Point Guard

Amora played outstanding defense at the point of attack all game long. She forced several turnovers by applying heavy ball pressure and disrupting the St. Mary's offense by showing great instincts in the passing lanes. If she didn't steal the ball she caused a bad pass that a teammate stole on multiple occasions. She also scored 10 points including two three-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id='569084' first='Dahni' last='Suggs'], St. Frances, 2026, Forward

Dahni put up a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. She battled in the paint all night and usually came out on top in her matchups. Her activity drew a bunch of fouls allowed the Panthers to keep maintain a comfortable lead for almost the entire game.

[player_tooltip player_id='303118' first='Sydney' last='Sutton'], St. Frances, 2026, Guard

Sydney was tasked with slowing down St. Mary's best perimeter shooter and she did a great job. She used her strength, foot speed and instincts to shut down St. Mary's second scoring option. Sydney chipped in 12 points as well and had excellent all-around game.

Mone't Edwards, St. Frances Academy, 2026, Guard

Mone't led the team in scoring with 15 points including a pair of threes. She also provided excellent perimeter defense, fighting through screens and blowing up plays.
