Dahni posted a double-double in the loss to Rosedale Christian. Her 16 points and 11 rebounds were both team highs with 9 of her rebounds on the offensive end. Dahni battled in the paint all game with Pallotti’s big front line and more than held her own. She finished the game with 10 points and 10 rebounds and a couple of blocks. She kept her composure and stayed out of foul trouble for the most part. She understood the assignment and came through in the clutch.

Dahni is off to a great start this season. She’s been solid on the boards has been efficient around the basket. Against number 6 ranked Bishop McNamara she posted 17 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks as the Panthers knocked off BMAC at the She Got Game Super Games event. She still has not committed.

Dahni was physically dominant inside. She had her way with the Mustangs in the paint outscoring the Mustangs post players 13-2. Her presence on the boards was felt the most as she cleaned up most of the misses that came off the glass. She gave her all in their game leaving it on the floor and you could see that she was spent after the game ended.

Dahni’s senior composure stood out on the road, taking command as the team’s first option on offense. Once she caught the ball at the elbow, she became tough to contain, getting to the basket in a single dribble and finishing with 19 points. She also showed a strong feel for rebounding, pulling down at least 15 and displaying Rodman-like instincts on both ends of the floor. With her motor, physical presence, and reliable production, Dahni brings all the intangibles needed to compete at the collegiate level.

Dahni looks like she grew an inch or so and is finishing much better around the rim so far this fall. In an intense battle with Rosedale today she finished with a game high 16 points and a couple of blocks. She also altered several other shots and finished any time she got her hands on the ball. She was a big presence in the paint today.

Dahni has excellent height and length. She catches with her back to the basket then spins off the defender for a half hook over the shoulder. That move seemed unstoppable against every defender we seen her face. On the defensive end she is aggressive and looks to block shots but fouls can be an issue. She will learn her value and find that an altered the shot can be just as effective as a block and can keep her on the floor longer. She rose to #13.

Dahni Suggs was a player who impressed me with her effort and defense on the first day of DMVlive. Her rebounding and interior presence were fantastic, and she had her best game in a win over St. Mary’s Ryken. She scored inside and controlled the glass on both ends. She had a masterful defensive game and had 7 blocks. Her final stat line from this game was 13 points and 14 rebounds to go along with her blocks.
