Heading to Pearl-Cohn from Clarksville Academy, CT, is an athletic wing that gets buckets. Playing with a motor, she is going to give opponents fits on both sides of the ball. She can score from multiple levels, but being a slasher using her speed to get to the rim is what she does best. Her defense is one of her calling cards, as she is a stingy defender who gets her hands on the ball. She is a solid two-way player who is a go-getter. This kid will definitely turn collegiate coaches’ heads and put PC in a position to make a title run.

Camille Thomas Camille Thomas 5'10" | SF/PF Pearl-Cohn | 2029 TN , in her first year of high school basketball, has already found a way to impact the game when she is on the court in multiple ways.

Thomas does a bit of everything when she is on the court. For one her elite defensive abilities allow her to guard players 1-5 on the floor in most cases. She is a constant steal threat, especially when it comes to jumping passing lanes. The mix of her speed, basketball IQ, and her long strides all play into this. In a game/scrimmage against Houston County High School last school season Thomas had six steals. Thomas’ promise as a good interior defender was seen in a game against Battle Ground Academy, where she recorded five blocks.

On offense, Thomas is a capable 3-point shooter and a great fastbreak scorer. Her speed going downhill is a big part of her being a good scorer in transition.

Built different. Bringing such a tenacious mentality to the floor, she is an aggressive two-way player who just gets after it. She can get it done from 3, but she is great at using her body to muscle to favorable spots on the floor. She has handles, finishes nicely around the rim, contributes on the board, and locks up on the defensive end. Passes the eye test for sure and brings a hard hat mentality to the floor. Talented kid who is going to jump on coaches’ radars for sure.

Camille’s motor was nonstop all day. She played with toughness and energy on both ends of the floor. Her motor as a freshman was impressive and she stood out by literally just out playing other campers. She showed her ability to knock down the three and consistently made hustle plays that lifted her team.

This kid is going to be special. Has a great frame and plays with relentless energy on both ends of the floor. She can be aggressive, attacking the rim or stepping outside to knock down the 3-point shot. She’s a tough competitor who is willing to do whatever it takes to win that possession. Look for her to elevate the CA program as she brings speed, size, and physicality into the fold.

Athletic guard who can score on multiple levels. She plays with relentless energy on both ends of the floor. Her O may be for the show, but D is the key as this young lady stays active and creates chaos for opponents. Look for her to carve out a solid role and be an important piece for the CA program.

We had several out of state players who came to Louisville on Saturday and Camille was very impressive to me. She’s at her best when she’s attacking the rim but she also showed she can knock down open 3s (her shot has a crazy amount of arch on it). I suspect Thomas will be a top freshman in the Nashville area this year and I’d be interested to see how she progresses if she makes the trip to more PGH Kentucky events in the future.

The state of Tennessee was well represented at the Kentucky Freshman Showcase, and Camille was a big reason why. With her strong, athletic frame, she embraces physicality and thrives on getting to the rim. She bullies her way into the paint and makes plays once she gets there. Loved the way she made her presence felt on both sides of the floor.

A young lady who can play the 2-4 position, this kid is a stat stuffer. Offensively, she can knock it down from 3, excel at the mid-range, and finish down low. Defensively, she blocks shots, gets steals, and contributes on the boards. She plays with tons of speed, and anytime there is a loose ball situation, this kid pounces on it. She got some time as an 8th grader last year and will look to earn even more time this upcoming season, playing a pivotal role. A heady ball player who is just about to get started.

Motored up kid who is aggressive on both ends of the floor. She is going to utilize her speed to create havoc on the basketball court. Doesn’t matter if she is on offense or defense, you better believe this girl is flying around being a pest out there. She can score from multiple spots on the floor. What I like about her game is she isn’t going to settle just for anything. She is going to go out and create something to her advantage. She might have seen something that she is willing to exploit and she’s going to go after it. Add in her ability to contribute on the boards and create turnovers, this kid is going to be a solid two-way player that is going to make some noise for the Lady Cougars.
