Stock-Rising Player: Jessica Bollwahn, Columbine 2022
In the Elite HS Invitational Open Runs, Jessica Bollwahn stood out while showcasing her skill set and what she can do from an all-around perspective.
The Columbine sophomore is expected to continue to climb the rankings for her class, as she is a 5-foot-10 wing that is extremely athletic and can do it all. Bollwahn last year was one of the top scorers for the Rebels, averaging 9.2 points per game. She is young and rising as a player to watch. Bollwahn has also been working to improve her outside game so she can stretch the floor more, adding another element to her game.
Bollwahn is a great slasher, and can finish with a soft touch around the rim. Last year, she averaged 6.6 rebounds per game as a freshman leading the entire Rebels roster in that category. As she continue to improve on her game, Bollwahn’s stock should continue to rise. With 220 points in 2018-19, Bollwahn was only 10 points shy of team leader Quincey Baum, a recent Colorado School of Mines signee. Bollwahn also has hit her career high in points three times last year with 17 points in a single game.
With this year being a new year for Bollwahn, she will look to be more of a threat at both ends of the floor. She has the ability to grab rebounds and push tempo, and this year will be her year to show what she has been working on all summer.
