Arkansas High Schools with the Most College Commits

Three teams in the state had four players who committed to play basketball in college, all coming from the 6A classification. Conway, Little Rock Central, and Springdale are the teams in question, and they boasted incredible talent throughout the year, who will now represent their hometowns at the next level.   2025 Conway Lady Wampus Cats playing college basketball:   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/emerie-bohanon/">[player_tooltip player_id='465513' first='Emerie' last='Bohanon']</a>- The #1 player in the 2025 class will be staying home and playing at the University of Central Arkansas. She is one of three Lady Wampus Cats who will be playing for their hometown school. Bohanon racked up the accolades during her senior season, being named a McDonald's All-American East nominee, an AHSCA East all-star, a Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas Preps second-teamer, and so much more. She finished the season scoring 557 points, recording 81 steals, drawing 21 charges, and draining 93 3-pointers. The opposition always had to gameplan against her deadly outside shooting ability, but if they focused too much on that jumpshot, she could burn you when she put the ball on the floor. During my time as the play-by-play commentator for Little Rock Central basketball this past year, I saw Bohanon play twice. I could tell that every Central fan in attendance held their breath every time a shot went up, begging her to miss.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/samyah-jordan/">[player_tooltip player_id='465492' first='Samyah' last='Jordan']</a>- The #3 player in the 2025 class will be heading to Three Rivers College in Missouri. Jordan headlines a highly-touted 2025 recruiting class that the Lady Raiders are bringing in. The point guard was all-conference and all-state while also being a McDonald's All-American East nominee. She totaled 459 points, 103 assists, and 76 steals during her senior campaign. Bohanon gave people headaches, but Jordan gave teams nightmares leading up to their matchup. There was never a ball that she could not poke free. If you thought you could successfully dribble past her, think again. She should have multiple college football offers to play defensive back based on her ability to read the defense and pick off a pass before the opposition knew what hit them. On the other end of the floor, she could make you pay if you left her open from beyond the arch. Jordan was also too much to handle when attacking the basket, looking unstoppable on every drive.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/alexis-cox/">[player_tooltip player_id='465503' first='Alexis' last='Cox']</a>- [player_tooltip player_id='465503' first='Alexis' last='Cox'] dealt with injuries throughout her senior season, causing her to miss practically the entire season, but UCA still wanted Cox to be a part of their program, so that is where she officially signed. Cox is a very strong player who relies on her ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. She also does not give up on plays. If she somehow gets beat on the defensive end, she will race down the court to recover and block a shot. If she misses her first shot attempt, she fights for a second chance and does not quit until she sees the ball go through the hoop. The city of Conway should be very glad this star forward is staying home to play for the UCA Sugar Bears.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/alivia-cox/">[player_tooltip player_id='1056381' first='Alivia' last='Cox']</a>- Like her sister, [player_tooltip player_id='1056381' first='Alivia' last='Cox'] decided to stay home and play for UCA. Cox is a defensive specialist who recorded 50 steals and drew 24 charges during her senior year. She is mostly a bruiser on the interior, but she had the green light to shoot from outside during her time with the ISO Basketball Club, where she showed off a smooth shooting stroke. Like I mentioned, she is primarily a defensive pest, but I cannot talk enough about her effort. Cox is the first player on the floor after a loose ball, and she never backs down when she is in position to grab a rebound. There is also no other player who plays with as much passion as [player_tooltip player_id='1056381' first='Alivia' last='Cox'], and I am sure that was evident to UCA when they offered her.   2025 Little Rock Central Lady Tigers playing college basketball:   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/ky-wilson/">[player_tooltip player_id='465505' first='Ky' last='Wilson']</a>- As the play-by-play commentator for Little Rock Central basketball this past year, I can tell you that there might not be a better two-way slashing small forward than [player_tooltip player_id='465505' first='Ky' last='Wilson']. She is a strong finisher at the rim, but she is a lethal outside shooter, being able to drive defenses crazy with her inside-outside scoring abilities. On the other end of the floor, Wilson plays the passing lanes very well, intercepting passes and pushing the ball ahead in transition. She is also a fantastic rebounder thanks to her long frame. Wilson will be playing for Three Rivers College next season, and I would imagine that she will dominate like she did with the Lady Tigers.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/taylor-day-davis/">[player_tooltip player_id='465504' first='Taylor' last='Day-Davis']</a>- I doubt there is a team in Arkansas that can say they have a forward who could stop [player_tooltip player_id='465504' first='Taylor' last='Day-Davis'] in the high post. She is an incredible mid-range jumper, being particularly dangerous when shooting a turnaround jumper. Day-Davis is a great rebounder, having amassed over 500 rebounds in her Tiger career. Double-doubles were not uncommon with this forward, but neither was catching fire from the 3-point line. There were games where Day-Davis could not miss from beyond the arc, especially off the catch. Her excellent inside-outside ability will be on full display when she goes to play for Trinity Valley College in Athens, Texas, next season.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/ameriya-gaston/">[player_tooltip player_id='465535' first='Ameriya' last='Gaston']</a>- Gaston cemented herself as one of the best shot-blockers in the state this past season. Once she fixed her problem with getting into foul trouble early in games, the center became a scary player to go up against. She may be quiet, but she is looking to make your life miserable in the paint, hoping to strike despair in every shot she smacks into the stands. She averaged over 2 blocks a night and had multiple outings with 3 or more, including a 7-rejection performance against North Little Rock. Gaston is improving on the offensive end. She found her rhythm from the free throw line towards the end of the conference season, and she is working on getting a softer touch. But her offensive rebounding and rim protection are ready for college. Like [player_tooltip player_id='465505' first='Ky' last='Wilson'], Gaston will be moving on to Three Rivers College.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/chloey-rei-brown/">[player_tooltip player_id='467464' first='Chloey-Rei' last='Brown']</a>- [player_tooltip player_id='467464' first='Chloey-Rei' last='Brown'] was only with the Lady Tigers for one season after transferring from Baptist Prep, but she made a profound impact on this 6A Central powerhouse. Brown ran the point exceptionally, making sure to feed Central's two star forwards and always looking to hit their shooters and their bigs with a pass. Brown has a solid handle and does not try to dribble too wildly. She is also a great defender, particularly when it comes to forcing turnovers. No pass or dribble is safe around her as she will take advantage of sloppy play from the opposition and immediately trigger a fastbreak opportunity for her team. Brown will be staying in the state as she will go play for nearby Hendrix College in Conway.   2025 Springdale Lady Bulldogs playing college basketball:   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/adriana-hernandez/">[player_tooltip player_id='465500' first='Adriana' last='Hernandez']</a>- Springdale had arguably the deepest guard rotation in the state this past season. All four players from Springdale who signed to play at the next level were guards, including sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='465500' first='Adriana' last='Hernandez']. She capped off her high school career with all-conference honors and scoring 700 career points. With her catch-and-shoot ability from the 3-point line, it is not hard to see why Hernandez mulled over several offers to play at the next level. She ultimately chose to sign with Connor's State College, a school with a reputation for developing athletes.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/kiara-owens/">[player_tooltip player_id='1056376' first='Kiara' last='Owens']</a>- [player_tooltip player_id='1056376' first='Kiara' last='Owens'] had a fantastic senior season. She was able to make an impact on both ends of the floor, and it showed throughout the regular season, making the all-conference team. Owens also earned a spot on the all-tournament team for the LRCA tournament midway through the season, and she scored just under 1,000 points for her career, finishing with 974 points. During Springdale's senior night matchup with Fayetteville, Owens made her presence felt on the glass, grabbing 8 boards in addition to recording 14 points and 3 assists. In their first round matchup against Bentonville in the 6A state tournament, the guard put up 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals, having a major two-way impact despite the loss. She will take that incredible two-way play into the 2025-26 season with Seward County College.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/arkya-dixon/">[player_tooltip player_id='874451' first='Arkya' last='Dixon']</a>- [player_tooltip player_id='874451' first='Arkya' last='Dixon'] was only with the Lady Bulldogs for a year after transferring from Rogers Heritage High School. In her lone season with Springdale, she earned a spot on the all-conference honorable mention squad. One of her best outings of the year was against her old squad. In the February contest against Rogers Heritage, Dixon just missed out on a double-double, finishing with 8 points and 10 rebounds. In Springdale's earlier matchup against Rogers Heritage, Dixon had another solid performance, putting up 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. She can hit the outside shot, score and defend down low, and rebound at a high level, which is exactly why Allen Community College offered her.   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/madan-brooks/">[player_tooltip player_id='963668' first='Madan' last='Brooks']</a>- Like Dixon, [player_tooltip player_id='963668' first='Madan' last='Brooks'] was too low in the 2025 rankings. Brooks should not have been on the Watch List, especially after committing to the University of the Ozarks, where, unlike her other teammates, she will be staying in the Natural State. Brooks is a guard who did all of the right things on the court for Springdale and for her AAU club, the Lang Thunder. She can knock down open jumpers from the 3-point line while being able to step inside the arc and hit deep contested runners. She is also an exceptional passer. Brooks did not play a lot of point guard with the Lady Bulldogs, but she has shown that she can make some slick assists. The guard is also a fantastic cutter.
