Cox plays hard on the defensive end, using her length to her advantage. She has the wingspan to strip the rock from opposing ball-handlers and to poke passes away. Cox moves her feet well, staying in front of her assignment and rotating on help defense. She can jump in front of a driving opposing player and draw a charge. She can also crash the glass and even start the fastbreak by bringing it up the floor herself.

On offense, Cox can make some plays from inside and outside. From the inside, Cox uses her length again to finish over the defense and to do some damage on the offensive glass. From outside, she can stretch the floor, being able to knock down open mid-range and 3-point shots.

Cox was able to show off her two-way abilities, and she made a massive contribution to Conway’s success versus Lake Hamilton.

Cox is not the go-to option on offense for Conway, but when she had the ball, she made sure something good occurred. Cox drew first blood in the game as she scored two free throws to put up Conway’s first points of the season. Aside from that, she moved well without the basketball and was always in a good position to receive a pass. She did score some points in the paint, but some of her offense resulted from her play on defense.

Cox had multiple steals in the first half, either from breaking up a pass or picking up a deflection. She also played some lockdown on-ball defense the entire night. She had the major responsibility of guarding two of the top forwards in the 5A classification: Disyah Christon Disyah Christon 5'9" | SF/SG Lake Hamilton | 2026 State AR and Saniyah Cook Saniyah Cook 5'10" | PF Lake Hamilton | 2026 State AR , playing well against both of them. In addition to her defensive play, Cox rebounded the ball well on both ends.
