Nylah picked up her first D1 offer from Bowling Green State University this week, and she certainly has that trajectory with four years of high school basketball still ahead. Nylah is the perfect complement to Fraser's guards. She battled to score offensive rebound putbacks, finished layups off two feet, and wrestled for 50/50 balls. Most posts force shots, and Nylah did the opposite. She dished a dump-off assist and made smart kickout passes when the defense doubled her in the paint. Nylah had another solid showing at The Compound and is going to be exciting to watch with Fraser's upperclassmen this season.

Jadelynn played aggressive basketball for Stoney Creek on both sides of the ball at The Compound. She scored off two feet with a soft touch in the paint and changed hands seamlessly to score a crossover dribble drive layup. Jadelynn caught a pass on the perimeter, attacked down the middle of the lane, absorbed contact, and finished the and-one floater off two feet. She sealed a defender on the block and spun to score a layup with finesse, and made a good back-door cut to score another layup. Jade grabbed tough offensive rebounds and dished an assist off the dribble to a teammate cutting to the basket. Her assertiveness, determined drives, and all-around impact were evident.

Samantha poured in 12 points during Stoney Creek's Monday night victory and earned she earned The Compound Player of the Game award. Sam buried a straightaway three-pointer and added a smooth between-the-legs step-back triple for good measure. She drove hard through the lane to score a floater and made a quick back-door cut to score a layup off two feet. Sam turned up the heat with her defensive pressure and worked extremely hard to keep the ball contained with her lateral footwork. She has a clear competitive edge on the court.

Calista has developed into an effective inside/outside prospect, and she had a great day for Stoney Creek at The Compound on Monday. Calista powered through contact with a strong drop-step to score an and-one layup off two feet with her left at the rim. She knocked down a smooth pull-up jumper and finished a quick baseline drive with a graceful reverse layup. Calista used her length to close passing windows and created steals with he aggressive pressure on the defensive end. Her handles have improved, and she has developed a confident stroke from three-point range. Calista is on track to be one of the premier wing-forward prospects in the 2027 class.

Two years ago, Izzy left a lasting impression when I coached against her at the Lake Orion summer league. She is one of the best high and low post defenders in the 2026 class, with length and closeout mobility that gives Stoney Creek a clear advantage on defense. Izzy swatted back-to-back shots in the paint with authority and made several blocks throughout the game on Monday at The Compound. She blocked shots inside and on the perimeter, moving quickly from help position to swat layup attempts. One of her highlights was blocking a layup and immediately sprinting down the floor to score a layup in transition. She worked hard to secure many rebounds on both ends and scored a left-handed layup off two feet. Izzy passed well from the perimeter and zipped an overhead entry pass on a rope to a teammate for the assist. She is a fierce competitor with a physical tenacity on the court that few have.

Brynn picked up an offer from Adrian this week, and she had an impressive game for Fraser at The Compound on Monday. Brynn swished a triple from the wing and drained another three-pointer up top. She used a swift double-crossover dribble move in transition to get past her defender and earn free throws. Brynn clamped down on the ball to cause a jump ball on a drive and powered through contact to score a strong and-one layup with her left hand. Brynn knocked down another jumper and battled to secure rebounds on both ends. She worked hard to defend the post and displayed toughness during a very physical game.

Alaynah was a wizard with the ball at the Compound on Monday. She changed directions suddenly, using a spin dribble to cause a foul and used a sweet behind-the-back dribble to get downhill before dishing a great dump-off pass for the assist. Alaynah drilled a corner jumper and zipped one-handed passes to open teammates. She put English on the ball to score a layup from a difficult angle and blew by a defender using another behind-the-back move, then transferred the ball quickly to her shooting hand. Alaynah made many accurate no-look passes and knocked down free throws. She creates space from defenders with her crafty crossover combinations and is an excellent facilitator. Her toughness showed as she continued to compete to the very end despite injury. Alaynah will be a lead guard to watch for Fraser.
