Emily McCutcheon had a remarkable freshman season with the Cedarville Lady, earning all-conference and all-state. I fully expect her to repeat her efforts in 2025-26.

After averaging 14.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game last season, McCutcheon lit up the AAU scene with Shock Hoops. During the Power 24 Finals, McCutcheon averaged 12 points and 4 rebounds per game, which was not long after putting up 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals a contest during the Run 4 Roses and Select Events tournaments.

She is a great scorer, able to create her shot from the outside and nail big time buckets, especially with the defense draped all over her. She has a quick first step, able to get by defenders and get into the paint to finish. She is also a great defender, making a living by intercepting passes and stripping ball-handlers.

Emily McCutcheon should have a great sophomore season, and the 3A-4 should be very afraid of what she does to them on the court.

I suspect that [player_tooltip player_id='947706' first='Morgan' last='Sanger'] will have a breakout season with the Lady Grizzlies. She mostly played on Northside's freshman squad last year, but she is now expected to fill a void after the team graduated several seniors.

Sanger balled out with the [program_tooltip program_id='712392' first='Banshees' last=''] this summer. She impressed on the defensive end, anticipating where passes were going and jumping in front of them, taking the ball to the other end.

On offense, Sanger showed how good she was moving without the basketball. She can get herself open easily and can cut from everywhere on the floor. The guard continued to prove just how solid a shooter she is, particularly off the catch. Whether her jumper is from three or mid-range, there is a good chance that she is knocking it down.

[player_tooltip player_id='947706' first='Morgan' last='Sanger'] is expected to have a big year in 2025-26, so the 6A West needs to be prepared.

[player_tooltip player_id='901741' first='Katie' last='Snodgrass'] is an underrated guard for Lincoln High School. She showed flashes of stardom as a freshman, and now she is ready to take a step up in her sophomore season.

Snodgrass had some solid performances throughout her freshman campaign, particularly late in the season. In late February, as postseason play ramps up, Snodgrass put up 16 points in a crucial game.

Snodgrass can score in a number of ways. If she has a lane to the basket, she will take it and score at will, using a euro-step or step-through if need be. From the perimeter, the Lincoln star can rise up and drain deep shots, whether off the catch or off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='901741' first='Katie' last='Snodgrass'] is still under the radar, but I think she will let everyone know that she has arrived during the 2025-26 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1189079' first='Aniya' last='Morris'] is a name that many people will be talking about in due time, and she could be in for a big season with Fort Smith Southside.

Morris played well with her AAU squad, N10sity, this summer. She did what your typical post player does well: rebound, score under the basket, and block shots. However, her best skill is her ability to play out of position.

Morris has a solid handle and can attack the basket with force. No one stands a chance at stopping her drives, and she finishes well through contact and over taller defenders. She's a solid finisher, but I would like to see her score more with her left. If she gets off-hand finishing down consistently, then she will be even better.

[player_tooltip player_id='1189079' first='Aniya' last='Morris'] is a highly versatile player with a tall ceiling. She will be playing against some of the top talent in the state in the 6A West, but with her talent, she could develop into one of the best all-around players in her class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091186' first='Shakiah' last='Brown'] has only played Junior High basketball with Dumas, but I think her abilities will translate immediately to varsity after destroying defenses last season.

Brown had some impressive performances during her 9th-grade season, including a game in November where she put up 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. She had a separate performance in December where the defense saw her log 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Brown is a scrappy player who feasts in transition. She is often guarding her assignment for the entire length of the floor, and she will pounce on a loose ball at a moment's notice. Once she has it, she does not hesitate to sprint to the other end and score.

I would imagine that [player_tooltip player_id='1091186' first='Shakiah' last='Brown'] logs a lot of minutes on Dumas' varsity squad this coming year because the talent, effort, and skill level are all there.
